Ismael Bonfim Misses Target by 5 lbs Friday at UFC Vegas 111 Weigh-Ins

While Chris Padilla (155 lbs) came in on championship weight for his lightweight fixture versus Ismael Bonfim, the latter wasn’t so lucky on the scales. Bonfim, the brother of main event competitor Gabriel Bonfim, exceeded the 156-lb nontitle lightweight maximum at 161 lbs.

As a result of his weight miss, Ismael Bonfim will cede 25 percent of his purse to Chris Padilla. This UFC Vegas 111 fight will now be contested as a catchweight.

Everything else at the weigh-ins went according to plan on Friday morning.
