Walter Walker predicts Johnny Walker will become UFC heavyweight champion

Johnny Walker is set to make his UFC heavyweight debut this Saturday when he takes on Mick Parkin at UFC 332 in Salt Lake City. Although this will be the Brazilian's first UFC fight at heavyweight, his brother Valter Walker already sees a championship future for him in the division. Walker believes his brother can beat anyone at heavyweight and expects him to become UFC champion next year.

Valter Walker Backs Johnny Walker at Heavyweight

Johnny Walker enters the matchup with a 22-10 professional record and one no contest, moving up after spending most of his UFC career at light heavyweight. The Brazilian has struggled to find consistency recently, going 1-3 in his last four fights. In his last appearance, Walker suffered a unanimous decision loss to Dominick Reyes in April.

However, Valter Walker has high expectations for his brother in the heavyweight division. Speaking to Laerte Vianna na Área - MMA, he said his brother's style can match up with anyone in the division and even claimed he would defeat Alex Pereira if they were ever to meet inside the Octagon.

"Johnny Walker matches up with any style at heavyweight," Valter Walker said. "If they give him Poatan tomorrow, Johnny wins. He'll be heavyweight champion next year."

Johnny Walker was originally scheduled to make his heavyweight debut against Ante Delija at UFC Belgrade in August, but the Croatian fighter withdrew from the bout due to an injury.

Walker is now expected to meet Parkin at UFC 332 on Saturday at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City. Parkin enters the bout with a 10-1 professional record, while the Brazilian will look to make a successful transition to the heavyweight division.
