PFL San Diego: How to Watch and Full Fight Card
PFL San Diego happens tomorrow. Here's a handy viewers' guide:
The PFL is heading to San Diego for the very first time. Presenting a thrilling main event matchup for the occasion, former Bellator featherweight champion A.J McKee shares the smart cage with undefeated European powerhouse, Salamat Isbulaev. In the co-main event, flyweight stalwart Liz Carmouche comes to blows with Brazilian standout Viviane Araújo.
PFL San Diego Main Event
Entering his prime at 31-years old, McKee stands as one of the preeminent 145-lb competitors in the sport. Headlining his first card for the company, “Mercenary” is looking to make an irrefutable case at PFL San Diego to be considered next in line for the championship.
Following a run of unchecked domination on the international scene, Isbulaev signed with the PFL last year, making his debut at the organization's Madrid show, where he immediately proved to be a featherweight contender by starching Peruvian knockout king Jesus Pinedo. Facing a big step up in competition, the Russia native can make himself undeniable as well should he manage to topple the elite McKee.
PFL San Diego Co-Main Event
Taking home the title at PFL 9 last year, Carmouche made mixed martial arts history as one of the few fighters to ever capture both Bellator and PFL gold. Set to resume her place as the top flyweight name in the promotion, “Girl-Rilla” is seeking to accomplish her fourth victory in a row in the penultimate scrap of PFL San Diego.
Making her first walk to the smart cage this past April, Araújo impressed with a superb triumph over fellow UFC veteran Shanna Young. Keeping a very active schedule, “Vivi” is determined to dethrone the seemingly unstoppable Carmouche and prove to the world that she is best of the best at 125-lb.
