Regian Eersel to Defend Muay Thai Crown Against George Jarvis at ONE Fight Night 34

ONE Championship has announced the main event for ONE Fight Night 34, set to take place on August 1 in U.S. primetime at Bangkok’s iconic Lumpinee Stadium. Reigning ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Champion Regian Eersel will put his title on the line against rising British contender George Jarvis. The dominant champion will receive a stiff challenge from one of the more fierce young guns in the sport.

Regian Eersel Ready to Rumble vs. George Jarvis

Regian Eersel enters the bout as one of the sport’s most dominant champions, boasting an impressive 13-1 record in ONE since his 2018 debut. The Surinamese striker first captured gold by claiming the inaugural ONE Lightweight Kickboxing World Title with a decision victory over Dutch legend Nieky Holzken. His success continued as he defended that crown four times before setting his sights on Muay Thai glory. In October 2022, Regian Eersel added a second world title to his collection by defeating Thai knockout artist Sinsamut Klinmee to become the inaugural ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Champion.

Since claiming the Muay Thai title, “The Immortal” has successfully defended his crown twice while also finishing a thrilling three-fight rivalry with Alexis Nicolas in kickboxing. His crafty footwork and precise long-range striking have established him as one of the world’s top pound-for-pound strikers. Regian Eersel’s technical excellence and finishing ability have made him a fan favorite and cemented his status as an all-time great.

George Jarvis Provides Tough Test for Regian Eersel

Jarvis presents a formidable challenge for the champion, bringing his own championship pedigree and aggressive fighting style to the title shot. The 24-year-old British fighter previously held a WBC Muay Thai World Title and dominated the UK Muay Thai scene before joining ONE. After dropping a close decision in his promotional debut at ONE Friday Fights 35 in September 2023, “G-Unit” responded with four consecutive victories that earned him a six-figure contract and a spot on ONE’s global roster.

The challenger’s relentlessly aggressive approach has quickly established him as the division’s most dangerous contender. Jarvis’s well-rounded, all-action fighting approach promises to create fireworks when matched against Regian Eersel’s smooth technical skills and ruthless finishing instincts. This stylistic contrast sets the stage for a high-octane championship battle that could determine the future of the lightweight Muay Thai division.

Exciting Main Event Between Regian Eersel and George Jarvis To Come on Aug. 1

Fans can expect an explosive main event as Regian Eersel looks to further cement his legacy against a hungry challenger ready to announce himself on the world stage. ONE Fight Night 34 airs live on Prime Video on Friday, August 1. The event is free for all Amazon Prime subscribers at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
