The UFC‘s biggest week of the year has arrived as International Fight Week comes to an end with a star-studded lineup of fights while MMASucka brings you UFC 276 results throughout the evening. UFC 276 will feature two title fights at the top of the bill as the main event sees the middleweight title on the line with the featherweight title on the line in the co-main event.
UFC 276 Results – Main Event
In the main event, UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya attempts to defend his title for the fifth time since he became undisputed champion by defeating Robert Whittaker at UFC 243. Adesanya’s first title defense was in a matchup against Yoel Romero in a fight that did not deliver that much excitement. After an uneventful 25 minutes, Adesanya would win the fight by unanimous decision. In his next title defense, he put on a much more exciting performance that saw him finish Paulo Costa in round two of their title fight by TKO.
After his second title defense at middleweight, Adesanya moved up to light heavyweight where he would challenge then-champion Jan Blachowicz for the belt. Unfortunately for Adesanya, Blachowicz walked away with the win and retained his belt that night, defeating Adesanya by unanimous decision at UFC 259. Since then, Adesanya has defended his title back-to-back times with back-to-back unanimous decision wins over Marvin Vettori at UFC 263 and Whittaker at UFC 271.
Before Jared Cannonier made his debut in the middleweight division in 2018, his record in the UFC was 3-4. After he dropped down to 185 pounds, Cannonier quickly put together a three-fight win streak, the longest of his UFC career. In his middleweight debut, he faced David Branch at UFC 230 and finished him in the second round by TKO. His next win was another TKO finish as he defeated MMA legend Anderson Silva with leg kicks. Cannonier’s third straight win was yet another TKO finish as this time he finished Jack Hermansson in the second round of his first main event at UFC Fight Night 160.
That win streak set up a fight with former champion and middleweight’s number one contender, Robert Whittaker at UFC 254. Whittaker snapped Cannonier’s win streak that night as Whittaker won the fight by unanimous decision. Cannonier has put together two wins since that loss to Whittaker. The first of those was a unanimous decision win over Kelvin Gastelum in the main event of UFC Vegas 34. His most recent fight ended in the second round as Cannonier finished Derek Brunson by knockout in their meeting at UFC 271.
UFC 276 Results – Co-Main Event
In the co-main event, the trilogy fight between featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski and former champion Max Holloway goes down. Volkanovski holds two wins over Holloway coming into this fight with the first being the night he won the belt, defeating Holloway by unanimous decision. The second time was a little bit closer as Volkanovski escaped with the belt via split decision. Since those outings, Volkanovski has defended his belt a couple more times for a total of three title defenses.
His second defense was at UFC 266 when he defeated Brian Ortega by unanimous decision. His most recent outing was in April when he defended his title for the fourth time with a TKO win over Chan Sung Jung at UFC 273. Coming into this fight with 21 straight wins behind him, Volkanovski looks to defend his title for the fourth time and finally close the ‘Max Holloway’ chapter of his career.
As for Holloway, if he can not get through Volkanovski on Saturday, he may not see another title shot for as long as Volkanovski holds the belt. Coming into the fight, Holloway has won two straight outings since his back-to-back losses to Volkanovski. The first of those wins was a unanimous decision win over Calvin Kattar at UFC on ABC 1. That win was followed by another unanimous decision victory as this time he defeated Yair Rodriguez in their main event at UFC Vegas 42.
It’s not often that we see a matchup between two of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world competing for a title.

UFC 276 Results – Main Card
Kicking off the main card will be a fight in the bantamweight division as Sean O’Malley faces possibly one of his toughest tests yet in Pedro Munhoz. Munhoz enters the fight on a two-fight losing streak as he has suffered back-to-back unanimous decision losses to Jose Aldo at UFC 265 followed by Dominick Cruz at UFC 269. As for O’Malley, he has won his last three in a row with a knockout win over Thomas Almeida at UFC 260 followed by TKO wins over Kris Moutinho at UFC 264 and Raulian Paiva at UFC 269.
Following that fight will be a welterweight fight between former welterweight champion Robbie Lawler and Bryan Barberena. After suffering four straight losses from 2017-2020, Lawler enters this fight coming off the win that snapped that streak. That win was against Nick Diaz at UFC 266 as Lawler defeated him by TKO in the third round. Barberena will be coming into the fight with two straight wins behind him, one being a split decision win over Darian Weeks at UFC Vegas 44 followed by a unanimous decision win over Matt Brown at UFC on ESPN 33.
The third fight on the main card and before we get into the title bouts, middleweights Sean Strickland and Alex Pereira face off. Strickland enters the fight on a six-fight win streak with his last three wins being a UD win over Krzysztof Jotko at UFC Vegas 25, followed by another UD win over Uriah Hall in the main event of UFC Vegas 33. His most recent and sixth straight win was a split decision win over Jack Hermansson in the main event of UFC Vegas 47. As for Pereira, he is making just his third appearance in the UFC after picking up two straight wins to begin his career. Those wins include a TKO win in his debut at UFC 268 over Andreas Michailidis followed by a UD win over Bruno Silva at UFC Vegas 50.
