Darren Till Drops Shocking Truth About His Explosive Pub Altercation with Lee Browne

Remember the altercation former UFC title challenger Darren Till had outside a pub in Liverpool with Lee Browne over nothing? It was all a ruse:
Apparently, it was an attempt to sell “wolf tickets,” as Nick Diaz famously called them. For the uninitiated, “buying wolf tickets” means believing a beef is real when, in reality, it’s nothing more than a sham.
Darren Till’s Beef with Lee Browne was All an Act
The pub brawl videos looked real; however, Till, in his recent elevation, expressed that all of it was just calculated theatre. According to the former UFC star, he and Browne staged the chaos to build hype for a potential bout under Till’s Gorilla Promotions banner.
“I said, ‘Look, come to Gorilla. We’ll cause a little bit of a fuss and stuff like that.’” Till tod Full Mount MMA. “So he caused a little bit of fuss inside. I said, ‘Look, we’ll have a little bit of back and forth inside and outside. We’ll get it fired, and we’ll build a name off that.’ And he was all for it.”
Till’s logic was to manufacture momentum before making the fight official. According to the former UFC title challenger, the plan was for Browne to win a couple of fights, build local buzz, and then turn their Liverpool confrontation into a marketable fight.
While the plan never really worked in that manner, Till believes that they did enough to create the buzz.
“I think we’ve done our job, you know?” Till concluded. “We’re going to be putting him on Gorilla. We’re going to be getting him two good fights on there. And if he comes through unscathed, mate, that’s a showdown.”
The timing is hardly coincidental. Till already has business lined up, with a BKFC 94 showdown against Yoel Romero scheduled for Sept. 26 in Manchester.
Why did Darren Till confess to their attempt now? That question can only be answered by the former UFC fighter himself, especially since fighters often wait until a bout is over before revealing how they marketed it.
While the confession might put him in an uncomfortable position, Till is not looking to back out of his comeback fight. Instead, he now claims that he wants to take on Paddy Pimblett.
Darren Till Calls for Paddy Pimblett Fight
While his fight against Yoel Romero is set for September, Darren Till appears interested in taking on Paddy Pimblett. During a conversation with Tony Bellew and Charlie Parsons on Fight Your Corner, Bellew asked Till about a potential fight with Pimblett.
“Listen, Dana White is one of the smartest businessmen you’ll ever see, and if it makes sense for the UFC, you coming back will always make sense. There’s just no two ways about it. I’m sure he’d want to manoeuvre something towards you vs Paddy Pimblett.” Martial Arts,” said Bellew.
Darren Till gave it no thought before claiming that a clash with Pimblett would blow up in the Liverpool market, and he is totally up for it.
“Me vs Paddy at Anfield has always been spoken about. Paddy’s on such a trajectory now, but imagine I slip back in there and say to him, ‘Come on Paddy, let’s do this together,” said Till.
The former UFC fighter has previously expressed interest in facing Pimblett in Liverpool, believing a clash between two Liverpool natives would blow up quickly. That said, will Dana White ever make this fight happen?
