Eight African Fighters Set for Action at UAE Warriors 74

Eight African fighters are set to compete at UAE Warriors 74, with the event featuring three all-African matchups across its 12-fight card. The event takes place on Oct. 22, ahead of UFC 333.

Three All-African Matchups at UAE Warriors 74

The UAE Warriors 74 co-main event will see the promotion's Intercontinental Featherweight Champion Sylvester Chipfumbu return to action. The Zimbabwean will face Egypt's undefeated Abdelrahman Essam in what appears to be a non-title contest.

The card will also feature an 89kg catchweight bout between Cameroon's Ayissi Bessala and the DRC's Diego Bandu. The latter is the more experienced athlete, coming in with a 7-2 professional record compared to his opponent's unblemished 3-0 record.

Rounding out the all-African bouts on the card will be a featherweight bout that sees Cameroonian Jaures Dea going up against Morocco's Marouane Bellagouit. Dea will be looking to protect his winning streak against Bellagouit, who will surely be looking to snap his recent losing skid.

Two More African Fighters Feature on the Card

Elsewhere on the card, there are two other Africans, who have their own respective bouts. Egypt's Flobater Fares will meet the Philippines' Ruel Pañales in a catchweight bout at 59kg, while Morocco's Karim Labdou is set to face Amirchupan Taygibov in a welterweight match-up.

The eight-fighter African contingent accounts for one-third of the 24 athletes scheduled to compete at UAE Warriors 74, highlighting the continent's representation across the card.
