Former UFC double-champion Henry Cejudo has given Alex Pereira a reality check, telling the Brazilian to stop complaining about his position.

Most recently, former two-division champion Pereira alleged that the UFC brass and Daniel Cormier teamed up to make sure fans embraced the idea of Ciryl Gane vs. Josh Hokit before the UFC 334 headliner was announced.

"Poatan" wanted to run it back with Gane and believes his TKO loss to "Bon Gamin" at the White House was due to Gane landing illegal blows to the back of his head.

However, Pereira will now be facing Russian knockout artist Sergei Pavlovich at UFC 335, and heavyweight champion Gane will lock horns with undefeated contender Josh Hokit at UFC 334.

Pereira also took to his Instagram stories to express his displeasure with Gane vs. Josh headlining UFC 334. He suggested promoting the co-main event, a women's bantamweight title fight between Kayla Harrison and Amanda Nunes, to the main event.

The Brazilian is clearly unhappy that he did not get a chance to run it back with Gane and has tried to express his frustration in several ways.  After Pereira's loss at UFC Freedom 250 and his failure to attain three-division glory, "Poatan" went back to the drawing board and now has to rack up a couple of wins before potentially getting another title opportunity.

Henry Cejudo gives Alex Pereira a brutal reality check

Henry Cejudo believes Alex Pereira was fast-tracked to a heavyweight title shot and that "Poatan" has skipped too many lines in his career and given many golden opportunities by the UFC brass. However, if Pereira wants to get another 265-pound title shot, "Triple C" believes the former needs at least 2-3 more wins.

On Pound 4 Pound, Cejudo quipped:

"You've skipped lines. You've skipped lines long enough, bro. You've had your opportunities against Ciryl Gane, and you lost. Yeah, there were illegal blows. I do agree with you on that. But man, that jab from Gane wobbled you… We saw where the fight was more likely going."

Henry Cejudo says Alex Pereira needs 2-3 wins before another title shot

Cejudo added that after being part of the once-in-a-lifetime White House card and fighting for the interim title on his heavyweight debut, Pereira should not complain. "Triple C" also opined that the 39-year-old did not have to fight every top contender to earn a title shot, as his fight-style and highlight-reel finishes helped him fast-track his way to championship opportunities.

"I feel like you need to win at least 2–3 more fights to fight for the title… He has been given the opportunity by the UFC. They liked his fighting style. They liked his vicious knockouts."

Cejudo also believes Josh Hokit is now getting the same treatment and getting a title shot, although the 28-year-old hasn't earned one:

"That's what the casuals want. And now they are doing it with Josh Hokit. Craziness in this sport is what sells.”
