Josh Hokit sounds off on Valter Walker over his warning before UFC Abu Dhabi fight with Thomas Petersen

The feud between Josh Hokit and Valter Walker doesn't appear to be fading away anytime soon. Hokit, on the eve of Walker's much-awaited return to the octagon, has reignited their war of words. 

Walker had recently criticized "The Incredible Hok" for his remarks regarding the former's native Brazil. The heel hook expert warned that he'd break Hokit's leg if they were to clash inside the octagon. 

Well, Hokit has now taken to social media to ridicule his Brazilian rival and seemingly add more fuel to their already-incendiary rivalry. 

Josh Hokit's call-out of Valter Walker and comments on Brazilian fighters in 2025

Josh Hokit made an impact on the UFC's DWCS (Dana White's Contender Series) last August and made his UFC main roster debut in November. The amateur wrestling veteran and ex-NFL athlete defeated Max Gimenis by way of TKO in his maiden octagon outing and followed it up with a polarizing octagon interview. 

The American fighter took aim at Valter Walker and Brazil, saying, "I already stomped two Brazilians, and I'm looking for a third."

Seemingly doing his impression of fellow American Chael Sonnen's iconic call-out of Brazilian MMA legend Anderson Silva, Hokit exclaimed, "Valter Walker, you absolutely s*ck."

It elicited condemnation from some fans, who alleged that Hokit's remarks were xenophobic against Walker and the people of Brazil.

On the contrary, a few others argued that the California-born fighter was simply engaging in verbal warfare against and hyping up a fight with a potential opponent in Walker.

Valter Walker recently issued an eerie submission threat to Josh Hokit, who's responded by ridiculing the UFC Abu Dhabi fighter

Presently, Valter Walker is scheduled to take on Thomas Petersen in a much-awaited heavyweight showdown at UFC Abu Dhabi on July 25. On the other hand, Josh Hokit picked up a dominant TKO win against Derrick Lewis at UFC Freedom 250 on June 14. 

The high-ranking Hokit has been relentlessly campaigning for a UFC heavyweight title shot. Meanwhile, Walker recently spoke to Home of Fight's Jake Noecker and suggested that he's in no rush to get to the top of the heavyweight division. 

The Brazilian added, however, that he'd most definitely like to fight Hokit inside the octagon someday. "The Clean Monster" warned that he'd get a hold of the American combatant's leg, submit him, and wouldn't let go until he's broken it and forced him into needing surgery. 

Josh Hokit has now taken to X to respond to a video clip of Walker's aforementioned warning. The wrestling savant seemed to liken Walker to the character of Lotney "Sloth" Fratelli from the 1985 Hollywood movie, "The Goonies." 

For context, "Sloth" from "The Goonies" was a gigantic individual characterized by facial deformities. A number of movie buffs and others are known to use "Sloth" as a slur to mock their target's physical appearance. 

As such, the consensus is that Josh Hokit is believed to have ridiculed the 6'6" Walker over his looks. His X post against the Brazil-born Russia-based fighter read:
