The Armenian fighter will be facing Mauricio Ruffy in the co-main event of UFC 331. Both Ruffy and Tsarukyan are looking for a win, as the winner could get a title shot. However, the lightweight champion has voiced his thoughts and mentioned that it's going to be a tough night for Ruffy.

Justin Gaethje believes Mauricio Ruffy is about to face the biggest test of his UFC career. According to Gaethje, fighting Arman Tsarukyan will show just how good Ruffy really is, as Tsarukyan is a world-class opponent and a much tougher challenge than anyone he has faced so far,
"This will be Ruffy's first ultimate test in the UFC against a world class fighter," the lightweight champion said in a recent video with Demetrious Johnson.
The Brazilian fighter quickly built up hype in the division for his flashy fighting style and knockouts. Many believe the 30-year-old can defeat the Armenian fighter if he defends the takedown well. Additionally, Gaethje wants this fight to get wild.
Justin Gaethje Takes Shots At Arman Tsarukyan Ahead Of Mauricio Ruffy Fight
Tsarukyan hasn't taken any damage in his last few fights. Now Gaethje didn't hold back when talking about the Armenian fighter ahead of his clash with Mauricio Ruffy. Gaethje said he hopes Ruffy hits Arman hard and believes it would be fun to watch. During his recent video with Demetrious Johnson, he said:
“I hope Arman gets hit hard. It would be fun to see… He’s been doing so much to NOT be able to fight for the belt.”
‘The Highlight’ added that the Armenian has done a lot to keep himself away from a UFC title fight. He withdrew from the title fight against Islam Makhachev and later headbutted Dan Hooker during a face-off. Such behavior was the reason he didn't get a title shot earlier. But if he wins against Ruffy, he will finally get his most awaited title shot.
