Manoel Sousa set to face Magomed Zaynukov at UFC Qatar

Manoel Sousa and Magomed Zaynukov are set to meet in a matchup between two of the UFC's lightweight prospects. The Brazilian is expected to face the Russian at UFC Qatar on Nov. 21 in Doha. The matchup was first reported by Brazilian journalist Laerte Viana.
Manoel Sousa Meets Undefeated Magomed Zaynukov
Sousa has quickly established himself as one of Brazil's promising lightweight prospects since joining the UFC. The 29-year-old earned his contract after a third-round knockout of Cristian Perez on Dana White's Contender Series and has won both of his UFC appearances.
After knocking out Bolaji Oki in his promotional debut in March, Sousa returned in August and defeated Richie Miranda by unanimous decision. The Brazilian enters the matchup with a 15-1 professional record, with his only loss coming against Archie Colgan in Bellator in 2022.
Zaynukov, meanwhile, remains undefeated at 9-0. The Russian earned his UFC contract after defeating Lucas Caldas by unanimous decision on the DWCS before making his promotional debut at UFC Abu Dhabi in July. He defeated Damian Rzepecki by unanimous decision to extend his perfect professional record.
The 31-year-old is also a training partner of UFC welterweight champion Islam Makhachev at the Nurmagomedov School. Known by the nickname "Wild Chanko," Zaynukov has recorded five finishes in his professional career.
Sousa and Zaynukov are expected to meet at UFC Qatar on Nov. 21 at the Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena in Doha.
