Gall, who holds a 7-7 professional record with six career submission victories, revealed that promotion officials pulled him after routine pre-fight medical testing flagged an issue requiring attention.
A Temporary Roadblock in the Octagon Comeback
Taking to social media to update fight fans, Gall expressed his frustration over the sudden turn of events while maintaining that the setback is only temporary.
"Yo guys, so the news is true, I've been pulled back by the UFC from this fight," Gall explained. "I was contacted this morning, something came back in my medicals that is making me ineligible, be a simple procedure, and I'll be back. It sucks, I've overcome a lot to be here."
For Gall, the news is a brutal blow after grinding his way back to the biggest stage in mixed martial arts. He first burst into the mainstream spotlight in 2016 with high-profile rear-naked choke victories over CM Punk and Sage Northcutt, showcasing a slick ground game that quickly made him a household name among fight fans.
