Paulo Costa proposes to go against Alex Pereira if he turns down Sergei Pavlovich

Paulo Costa tweeted that he wants to fight Alex Pereira in case Pereira doesn’t want to take on Sergei Pavlovich
Paulo Costa wants to be back in the octagon after almost six months of hiatus, and his opponent of choice is none other than Alex Pereira himself.
Paulo Costa demands a three round bout with Alex Pereira
Costa has one last fight left on his UFC contract before he becomes a free agent. Since his last win against Azamat Murzakanov, he has been absent from the cage. Naturally, he wants to make his last fight significant.
This fight can carry way more than just his last hurrah in the UFC. The former middleweight title challenger has publicly called out Hunter Campbell’s attempts to book him in a five-round fight. He's made it very clear that he won’t be fighting in a five-round bout without receiving additional payment. It's obvious that he would be looking for three round bouts instead of five.
‘Borrachinha’ took to his X to make an offer.
“If Alex isn’t want to fight Sergei Pavlovich put me in. 3 rds. 6 weeks .” He wrote on X.

Pereira has recently confirmed that his next fight will be announced soon. After his devastating loss against Ciryl Gane, this fight can become Pereira’s comeback bout.
Despite there being no annnouncements regarding his upcoming opponent, social media has faith that it is Sergei Pavlovich. The fans, however, are skeptic. The Russian is currently on a fierce three-fight winning streak and can very well pose a huge threat against “Poatan”.
In this situation, Costa’s Proposal looks legitimate to some. While others have dismissed it altogether.
Paulo Costa’s UFC future remains unclear
Paulo Costa had previously opened up about struggling to finish his UFC contract. He even went to the extent of posting a list of conditions directed towards UFC’s Chief Business Officer Hunter Campbell.
“I think Hunter has 3 options now: A) Give me that last 3-round fight (I’ll take any opponent). B) Give me a 5-round fight at LHW against anyone in 6 weeks. I’ll take it, BUT raise my purse accordingly. That’s the minimum that’s fair, right? C) Release me from my contract now.”
Dana White quickly came forward to point out the misinformation.
“He's been offered fights and turned them down," He confirmed.
Despite this apparent closure, Costa is yet to get in the cage. Perhaps if the Brazilian’s wishes come true, Alex Pereira’s comeback bout will be his, as well.
