Raul Rosas Jr. predicts submission win over Raoni Barcelos
The bantamweight prospect believes defeating the Brazilian veteran would become one of the biggest victories of his career.
Raul Rosas Jr. is confident he will leave Las Vegas with another victory. "El Nino Problema" is set to headline UFC Vegas 121 against veteran Raoni Barcelos on Saturday and believes he will earn a submission victory. Despite his confidence, Rosas Jr. has continued to praise Barcelos' experience ahead of the five-round main event.

Rosas Jr. enters the matchup with plenty of momentum, riding a five-fight winning streak. The rising bantamweight will look to add another victory to his record and already has a prediction for how the fight will end. He has also repeatedly described Barcelos as one of the toughest opponents of his career.
"By submission," Rosas Jr. told Ag Fight when asked how he expects to win. "I don't want to say how. But I believe it's going to be a good fight. I'm ready. It means a lot for my legacy because Raoni Barcelos is a fighter who has beaten prospects like Payton Talbott and Montel Jackson. If I beat Raoni Barcelos, it'll be a great name on my record."
The Brazilian veteran is also riding a five-fight winning streak. Barcelos has defeated names like Payton Talbott, Cody Garbrandt and Montel Jackson during his current run.

Facing a veteran with more than 15 years of professional experience, Rosas Jr. knows he can't overlook Barcelos. Although he is confident he will be able to submit the Brazilian when they meet in Las Vegas, El Nino Problema also acknowledges that he will be facing a dangerous fighter across the Octagon.
"Yeah, I liked the name and I liked the fight," Rosas Jr. said. "Raoni Barcelos is a very experienced fighter. He's on a five-fight winning streak, and so am I. So I'm ready — I need to put on a great performance. It's a five-round main event, and I'm ready. He's dangerous because of his experience. He knows how to survive, he knows how to manage a fight. That's his No. 1 quality. He has very good grappling, good striking. He's a tough fighter."
Rosas Jr. and Barcelos are scheduled to headline UFC Vegas 121 on Saturday at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas.
