It was “Cowboy” vs. “Cowboy” in the main event of UFC Fight Night 83, emanating from the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, PA, as Donald Cerrone stepped into the cage against Alex Oliveira. In the short bout, Oliveira was able to out-muscle Cerrone in the clinch, but was eventually taken down by the American “Cowboy” and quickly submitted with a triangle choke set up from the mount. Cerrone’s welterweight debut was a success, and he announced to the world that the “Cowboy” Fight Train was back in service, with stops at both 155 and 170 in the offing.
