At UFC London at The O2 Arena in England, undefeated featherweight contenders Movsar Evloev and Lerone Murphy throw down as both men continue their individual quests for the next coveted championship opportunity in the UFC London main event. Before that, however, Luke Riley meets Michael Aswell in what is shaping up to be a much-anticipated showdown between two talented prospects.
UFC London Main Event
Embarking on one of the greatest rises to prominence that has been seen at featherweight in quite some time, Evloev has gone largely unchallenged in his ascent up the rankings. Taking immaculate victories over the likes of Dan Ige, Arnold Allen, Aljamain Sterling and Diego Lopes, the Russian is primed to earn his first chance at the belt this weekend if he manages to topple the equally impressive Murphy in UFC London.
Fighting in his native England for the first time in almost three years, Murphy enters his first UFC main event in UFC London with all the confidence in the world, having soundly bested some of the best opposition in his weight class such as Edson Barboza and Josh Emmett. Showcasing his finishing ability at UFC 319 last year by flattening Aaron Pico, “The Miracle” will put his zero on the line as he endeavors to carve out a piece for himself in the annals of The O2 Arena with a resounding win.
UFC London Co-Main Event
A previous standout in the European-based promotion Cage Warriors, Riley has yet to taste defeat as a professional inside the cage. Now presented with the high honor of fighting in a UFC co-main event, the Englishman can further make a name for himself at 145-lb following a magnificent triumph in his debut last fall.
Training out of the revered 4oz. Fight Club, which is also home to current flyweight king Joshua Van, Aswell encountered mixed outcomes in his first two contests in the organization. Undeterred by the pressure of competing in a high-billed match in one of the biggest stadiums in the country, “The Texas Kid” is looking to silence the London crowd while catapulting himself into a new level of notoriety.

Rounding out the UFC London main card, former Bellator star Michael Page faces Sam Patterson. Then, light heavyweight finisher Iwo Baraniewski tussles with Austen Lane. Also, middleweight bruisers Roman Dolidze and Christian Leroy Duncan square off. Finally, Kurtis Campbell and Danny Silva will open the post-preliminary festivities.
