Belal Muhammad Reveals Blueprint to Humiliate Colby Covington in Upcoming RAF Matchup

Belal Muhammad is all set for his RAF cruiserweight crossover championship matchup against Colby Covington on September 18. 'Remember The Name' recently expressed his confidence about doing well in the matchup and revealed his plan to humiliate his opponent at the end of their encounter.

Muhammad's wrestling stands as his go-to weapon to win his UFC fights. 'Remember The Name' has displayed his prowess in the department on multiple occasions, including his UFC 315 encounter against Leon Edwards. While 'Remember The Name' seized welterweight gold with his dominant wrestling in the fight, the instance of him slamming Edwards upside down, head-first on the canvas, sent shockwaves through the community.
Muhammad, however, has failed to live up to expectations in the RAF and currently holds a 1-1 record, way inferior to Covington's 4-0 record. Still, the Palestinian-American sounded confident about defeating his rival on September 18 to claim the RAF cruiserweight crossover championship.
In his latest YouTube video, Muhammad said, "I plan to go out there and dominate him. I'm going to go for the tech-fall, but if I see the pin fall, maybe I'm gonna go for the pin."
The former UFC welterweight champion also outlined the way he wanted the fight to end, indicating that he wants to humiliate Covington in addition to handing him his first loss in the promotion. "Maybe I'll put his back to the ground. And right when the ref's about to do it, I'll tell the ref, 'Don't do it,'" said Muhammad. "I’ll pick him up by his head, front headlock him, maybe suplex, belly-to-back, one of those."
Covington secured wins over Luke Rockhold, Dillon Danis, and Chris Weidman to earn a shot at the RAF cruiserweight crossover championship, and claimed the title with a victory over Arman Tsarukyan on July 18. 'Chaos's' form suggests that Muhammad's task is going to be far from easy.
Hence, it will be interesting to watch if the former UFC welterweight champion manages to back his words during the encounter to become the new RAF cruiserweight crossover champion.
