Dana White Believes Terence Crawford Could Return for the “Right Fight”

Dana White believes Terence Crawford could come out of retirement for the “right fight.”
Last year, after beating Canelo Alvarez in September and shocking everyone, Terence Crawford said he didn’t have anything more to prove. He then retired from the sport and hung up his gloves. Since then, fans have been asking him only one question: Will he ever return from retirement? Meanwhile, talking about his return, Dana White has lit the spark of hope and shared the details of what could make him return.
Dana White Says Terence Crawford Could Make a Comeback
Talking to the Night Cap podcast, White said Crawford could come out of retirement for the right fight. He said there are not many fighters who could make Crawford want to return. “I think that this is what I believe if if I went to Crawford with the right fight. Crawford would fight,” White said.
For those who don’t know, at the last fight, Dana White was the promoter of the Canelo vs. Crawford match. He has a close relationship with the boxer, as Crawford has often shown up at UFC events and talks a lot about the sport, as he himself comes from a wrestling background.
Consequently, the UFC boss might have talked about his return because he is not someone who shoots his shots in the air without having anything to back them up. Interestingly, Crawford recently asked fans if they wanted to see him fight again, and when Jaron Boots Ennis showed interest, Crawford seemed open to the idea.
Terence Crawford Might Return for the Jaron Ennis Fight
On September 5, Terence Crawford and Jaron Ennis met at a DAZN event. Ennis was asked if he still thought Crawford would be an easy fight. He said yes. Crawford then reminded him about his fight with Xander Zayas, where Ennis took some good shots. A few days later, Crawford asked Ennis if he would fight him if he came back from retirement.
In his words, “I wanna see something! Yall wanna see me come back and fight so bad don't yall? @JaronEnnis would you fight me next if I come outta retirement?”
Ennis did not take long to answer and said he was fully ready for the fight. Now, fans are waiting to see if Crawford will really return.
