Dana White clears the air on his relationship with Tom Aspinall.

Over the years, Dana White has had problems with some fighters, from Tito Ortiz to Francis Ngannou. Because of this, some fans thought Tom Aspinall might also be on that list. Fans started thinking this after Aspinall gave up the heavyweight title and stayed away from fighting for almost a year. Not only that, but he has also signed with Eddie Hearn, who has had many public arguments with White. Meanwhile, White has clearly stated that he has no bad blood with Aspinall.

Dana White Says He Has No Hate for Tom Aspinall

At the UFC 331 post-event press conference, White said he does not hate Aspinall and has no reason to dislike him. He added that, as always, if he does not like a fighter, he would say it publicly. White also joked about fighters signing with Eddie Hearn as their manager. He said he finds it funny and that fighters can choose Matchroom if they want.

ā€œPeople think that I don’t like Tom. That’s the furthest thing from the truth. I have no reason not to like Tom. If I don’t like somebody, I’m pretty honest about it. If I didn’t like Tom, I would say it. And when guys sign with Eddie Hearn, we crack up laughing. It’s hilarious. Anybody who wants to sign with Eddie Hearn as their manager, fire away,ā€ White said.

Earlier, White said he does not care about Hearn getting into MMA. He said fighters are free to choose whoever they want to manage them. And once again he has clearly stated that he doesn’t have any problem with fighters getting signed by Matchroom. So, for now, the idea that White hates Aspinall does not seem to be true.

Josh Hokit Thinks Eddie Hearn Is the Reason Tom Aspinall Hasn’t Returned Yet

Earlier, Hokit said Hearn is using Aspinall’s injury to delay his return. Aspinall earlier said he would be ready to fight Gane in June, but now he has vacated the title. Hokit finds this strange because the British fighter has been training for months. He also thinks there could be something in his contract causing the delay.

Hokit said, ā€œEddie Hearn’s strategy with Aspinall is obvious: stall with ā€˜he’ll fight when cleared’ to buy time in contract negotiations. Back in June, Tom said he’d fight Gane Sept 6th. Now Eddie is talking out of his a**: ā€˜He’s training, he’s ready, he’s eager to come back.’ You mean he didn't get medical clearance before starting full training months ago?? Total BS.ā€

So now, the big question is when Aspinall will return. Only time will tell.
