Dana White Dismisses Idea of Signing Jake Paul to Zuffa Boxing
Dana White will never see Jake Paul get signed to Zuffa Boxing as long as he's there, because Paul is an 'influencer' boxer and not a championship level boxer.
The ongoing saga between UFC CEO Dana White and social media star-turned-boxer Jake Paul is well-documented, marked by years of public back-and-forth over fighter pay and cross-promotion. However, when it comes to the possibility of seeing Paul step into a Zuffa Boxing ring, White has drawn a very firm line in the sand.
During a recent conversation with media personality Brianna LaPaglia, White was asked point-blank if he would ever consider having Paul compete under the Zuffa Boxing banner. True to form, the UFC frontman didn't mince words about where his promotional philosophy stands.

"No, that's not what I do," White bluntly stated. "There's obviously a market for that, but that's not what I do. I put the best fighters in the world against each other from the minute that they get into the sport, all the way up to world champion. The best fight the best."
White's stance highlights the distinct operational model that built the UFC into a global mixed martial arts juggernaut. While celebrity boxing matchups and influencer-driven bouts continue to generate massive pay-per-view numbers, White remains steadfast in keeping Zuffaâs matchmaking focused on elite, traditional competition rather than entertainment spectacles.
Paul, who has carved out a legitimate professional boxing record while also building his own brand MVP Promotions, has often targeted White regarding fighter pay in the UFC and the business model that he runs. Yet, this latest dismissal makes it abundantly clear that a crossover partnership is not on the horizon.
While the market for crossover fights remains as lucrative as ever, White has made his position unmistakable: if you want to fight under his promotional umbrella, you have to earn your stripes the hard way.
