Sean Strickland Slams UFC Fighter Pay, Says He Wants To Leave For Boxing

Sean Strickland says he is frustrated with the UFC and wants to move into boxing. He believes the promotion doesn't pay fighters enough to retire comfortably, forcing them to keep fighting even when their legacy is at risk. In a recent video, the middleweight champion said:

"I'm gonna say the quiet part out loud that nobody says... the just doesn't care anymore. They don't pay you enough money to walk away. The UFC builds a legacy, they don't pay you enough so you have to come back and ruin your legacy.”

Strickland said he is trying to work out a move to boxing, but it still depends on whether the UFC allows him to do it. Meanwhile, many MMA stars are suggesting that the promotion cannot afford to lose a star like ‘Tarzan.’ However, Strickland is also hoping to get a new deal with better terms.
