Rodolfo Vieira has his next UFC fight booked. The Brazilian middleweight is set to face Robert Bryczek at UFC Vegas 121 on Sept. 26 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. The matchup will give both fighters an opportunity to bounce back after suffering defeats in their most recent Octagon appearances. The UFC announced the matchup on social media.
Rodolfo Vieira Looks to Bounce Back
A multiple-time Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion, Vieira hasn't enjoyed the same success in MMA. Since joining the UFC in 2019, the Brazilian has experienced ups and downs inside the Octagon after arriving in the promotion undefeated with five professional victories.
In April, Vieira suffered a unanimous decision loss to Eric McConico, marking the first losing streak of his professional career. Now, the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu ace enters the matchup looking for redemption as another loss could complicate his situation in the promotion.
Robert Bryczek Seeks Consistency in UFC
Like his opponent, Bryczek enters the matchup looking to bounce back after losing a unanimous decision to Cameron Rowston in May. In fact, the Polish fighter is still seeking to establish himself in the UFC after making his promotional debut in 2024 and going 1-2 since. Before joining the UFC, Bryczek won the FEN welterweight title in 2020 and also competed under the OKTAGON banner.
The fight will also feature a clash of contrasting styles. While Vieira is one of the most accomplished Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fighters to have ever joined the UFC and will rely on his high-pressure grappling, Bryczek is a powerful striker with 12 finishes in his MMA career.
With both middleweights coming off losses and looking to regain momentum, the matchup could be an important opportunity for Vieira and Bryczek to get back on track inside the UFC's middleweight division.
