Ryan Gandra destroys Ozzy Diaz and calls out Israel Adesanya

Ryan Gandra has done it again. The Brazilian stepped inside the Octagon at UFC 331 this Saturday and defeated Osman "Ozzy" Diaz by TKO in just over two minutes of the first round. Riding a 10-fight winning streak, Gandra has won all three of his UFC appearances by first-round TKO in just over six months. After the victory, the Brazilian called out Israel Adesanya while still inside the cage.

The fight began with the two opponents feeling each other out. Early on, Diaz tried to utilize his size and length advantage, but Gandra remained highly composed and bided his time on the outside. At just under the two-minute mark, the Brazilian found his opening and blitzed Diaz with overwhelming power, unleashing a barrage of punches. Unable to defend against the onslaught, Diaz folded, forcing the referee to step in and stop the contest at 2:04 of the opening round.

Gandra didn't take long to make it clear who he wants to face next. Speaking at the post-fight interview while still inside the Octagon, the Brazilian took the opportunity to challenge a former UFC champion.

"Israel Adesanya, don't run from me," Gandra said. "One day or another, we are going to meet. I'm the nightmare of this division. Let's dance!"

Gandra arrived in the UFC last year after defeating Trent Miller by first-round TKO at Dana White's Contender Series. The Brazilian made his UFC debut in February, when he defeated Jose Medina by TKO in just 41 seconds. A few months later, Gandra stopped Zachary Reese by TKO in just over a minute of the first round. Against Diaz, "Problema" delivered another first-round TKO to remain perfect inside the Octagon.

With the victory, Gandra extended his winning streak to 10 consecutive fights. At 31 years old and holding an 11-1 professional record, the Brazilian might have established himself as a new "nightmare" for the division.
