Stamp Fairtex Wants MMA Next, Already Has First Opponent in Mind
Former three-sport ONE World Champion Stamp Fairtex has secured back-to-back wins and now, has set her sights firmly on a return to MMA.
The Thai fighter claimed a split-decision victory over American star Selina " Teep Queen" Flores in the Muay Thai main event of ONE Fight Night 47 on Prime Video this past Saturday, September 4.
Stamp's 11-2 MMA record and status as the only fighter in ONE Championship history to have held atomweight world titles across Muay Thai, kickboxing, and MMA give her a unique position in the division's title picture.
She won the ONE Women's Atomweight MMA World Title in 2023, suffered an injury in 2024 while preparing for her first defense, and relinquished the belt in 2025 after an extended rehabilitation.
In her absence, Denice "The Menace" Zamboanga claimed the championship before recently vacating it to embrace motherhood, leaving the ONE Atomweight MMA World Title vacant once again.
Stamp Let Flores Come to Her Rather Than Walking Her Down
The split-decision win over Flores was not a comfortable performance, but Stamp has explained that the approach was deliberate. The Thai had identified a specific reason to let her American opponent dictate the physical pace of the contest.
"My game plan was to let her walk to my game plan. Because if I walked her down and pressured her, she is very good angles. So then her game plan. So, I let her walk and walk forward to me," Stamp explained.
The result was not the explosive comeback performance fans were hoping for, but a calculated split-decision win against a two-time WBC Muay Thai World Champion is still a meaningful result on the road back to the top. It's also safe to say she has gotten over her fear of getting injured again.
Thai Star Wants to Return to MMA Next
With two consecutive Muay Thai wins now behind her, Stamp has made her next move unmistakably clear. The MMA division she left as champion is where she wants to return, and she has already identified the opponent she wants to face.
"It is still the plan. I think the next fight I want to fight in MMA. So please, Chatri , let me fight that game. I can fight anyone, but I think it's Chihiro . Chihiro, she is very good. So, it might be a good fight if I fight with her," she said.
Sawada is on a four-fight winning streak with only one promotional loss on her ONE record, making her one of the most credible atomweight MMA opponents available. A Stamp versus Sawada matchup would immediately generate title conversation given the vacant championship and both fighters' positions in the division.
Stamp Welcomes Rodrigues to MMA, Reveals Title Plans
The final piece of Stamp's post-fight statement addressed the other fighter stirring up the atomweight MMA landscape.
When old rival and reigning ONE Women's Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Allycia Hellen Rodrigues announced her own MMA ambitions, Stamp had a message ready, and her roadmap toward a second MMA title reign is now fully laid out.
"I just want to say welcome to the MMA world, and yeah, someday we will fight soon. Maybe in MMA, or Muay Thai again. So anyway, I can fight with her under any . I will ask for two fights for MMA, and then I will ask for the belt," she said.
Two MMA bouts before a title shot is the timeline Stamp has set for herself, a measured and self-aware approach from a fighter who understands that the world title demands more than a single warm-up performance. Sawada as the first opponent, two wins to build momentum, and then a shot at the vacant ONE Women's Atomweight MMA World Championship is the plan.
