UFC 325 Weigh-Ins See Road to UFC Final Dropped From Card at Scales

Initially, UFC 325 was to have seen a 14-fight slate this weekend. However, this is no longer the case.

At Friday’s weigh-ins, the Road to UFC Flyweight Tournament Final was postponed in the wake of Aaron Tau (129 lbs) exceed the 126-lb nontitle maximum by 3 lbs. His weight miss at Friday’s session proved controversial, as Tau was shown to have flexed his elbow up against the curtain, registering a reading of 122 1/2 lbs.

Once he was clothed, Aaron Tau weighed-in again, this time at 129 lbs. Tau’s opponent, Namsrai Batbayar (126 lbs,) weighed-in on-target today. Luckily, this was the only fight to be canceled at the scales on this day.

UFC 325 Main, Co-Main Events Confirmed at Weigh-Ins

UFC 325 will be headlined by the battle for the UFC Featherweight Championship on Saturday night. Both current champion Alexander Volkanovski (144 3/4 lbs) and No. 2 contender Diego Lopes (145 lbs) made weight for the five-round fight at five minutes per round without issue on Friday.

The same is true for the co-main event of the evening on Saturday night. It’ll be a lightweight affair matching No. 6 contender Dan Hooker (155 3/4 lbs) with No. 8 contender Benoit Saint-Denis (155 3/4 lbs) in a three-round contest at five minutes per round.
