UFC Belgrade With Awesome Prelims for Serbia Debut Saturday

UFC Belgrade fight week is here. As the 2026 calendar flips over from July to August on Saturday, so begins another month of events from MMA's No. 1 promotion in the world. 

For the first time ever, Dana White's organization will be holding a card in the country of Serbia. This weekend, Belgrade Arena serves as the setting for UFC Belgrade.

Live coverage begins this Saturday with the prelims at an earlier start time of 10 am ET/ 7 am PT. Inside the United States of America, UFC Belgrade will be seen from beginning to end via Paramount Plus. Main card action culminates the day's activities from Belgrade Arena at 1 pm ET/ 10 am PT. Should there be no adjustments made to Saturday's itinerary, the final version of the card will feature a slate of 14 fights.

UFC Belgrade Featured Prelim: L'udovit Klein vs. Tofiq Musayev: Klein Eager to Build Off Decision Win

At the top of the undercard, the lightweights take to the Octagon when L'udovit Klein (24-5-1 MMA, 8-3-1 UFC) meets Tofiq Musayev (23-6 MMA, 1-1 UFC.) All bouts mentioned herein are an advertised three rounds at five minutes per round.

Klein comes into UFC Belgrade having posted a record of 4-1 in his last five MMA appearances. Last October, during UFC 321 in Abu Dhabi, he scored a majority decision win against Mateusz Rebecki (20-5 MMA, 4-4 UFC) after 15 minutes.

In the intervening months, Klein kept himself busy by competing in a grappling match this past May versus Jakub Dohnal, fighting to a draw. How will he fare in his MMA return?

Tofiq Musayev Competing in 30th Pro Fight Saturday

Across the way, Tofiq Musayev has gone 4-1 in his own right in the past five fights. On March 28, he won by way of unanimous decision versus Ignacio Bahamondes (17-7 MMA, 6-4 UFC) in UFC Seattle inside Climate Pledge Arena. 

Although Saturday's featured prelim in UFC Belgrade is his third in the UFC, it's an important plateau for his career. When fight night arrives, he'll be making the walk to the cage for the 30th time in his professional MMA career.

Like Klein, Musayev comes in on the strength of a win by decision in his last outing. Will Musayev walk away with his 24th professional win in his 30th fight? Tune in and find out.

UFC Belgrade Co-Featured Prelim: Oban Elliott vs. Michael Oliveira: Cage Warriors Alum Aiming to Return to Win Column

Immediately beforehand, the co-featured undercard bout happens at 170 lbs. Oban Elliott (12-4 MMA, 3-2 UFC,) an alumnus of Cage Warriors Fighting Championship, battles Michael Oliveira (9-0 MMA, UFC promotional debut,) formerly of the LFA.

Elliott will be making the walk with a 3-2 mark since joining the UFC's active roster by way of Dana White's Contender Series in 2023. He's fallen on hard times of late in the Octagon, however.

Last time out, he was on the receiving end of a second-round technical submission by way of rear-naked choke from Jonathan Micallef (10-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) on Feb. 1 in UFC 325 in Sydney. Prior to his current two-bout losing streak, he'd been undefeated under the UFC promotional banner.

While Elliott is in need of a win in UFC Belgrade, his opponent is a tough customer in the shop on any given night.

Michael Oliveira Makes UFC Debut After Successful DWCS Bout

Meanwhile, Michael Oliveira has been undefeated up to now in his professional MMA career. A former LFA stalwart who won five of his six fights in the promotion by knockout, he made an appearance on last October's season finale of Dana White's Contender Series.

That night, he finished Victor Valenzuela (14-4 MMA) by second-round knockout due to hooks and hammerfists. By the end of the evening, Oliveira found himself as the newest member of the UFC's active roster.

Numerically speaking, this young man has won eight of his nine professional fights in MMA inside the distance. Should he secure another highlight-reel finish on Saturday in his UFC debut, it will run his finishing rate to 90 percent. How will his first impression in the UFC turn out?

UFC Belgrade: Borislav Nikolic vs. Mark Vologdin: Nikolic Gets UFC Debut in "Home Game"

Also on UFC Belgrade's undercard, fans will be treated to a bantamweight contest matching Borislav Nikolic (16-2 MMA, UFC promotional debut,) formerly of Brave CF, against Mark Vologdin (12-4-2 MMA, 0-0-1 UFC.)

Nikolic enters his first UFC appearance sporting a record of 5-0 in his last five fights as part of a six-fight winning streak. Most recently, he stopped Matheus Malta (12-7 MMA, 0-1 Brave CF) in February in a featherweight bour.

Nikolic already has two championship wins on his career resume from his time in Brave CF, both in the bantamweight division. This is his 19th professional MMA bout, but he'll be fighting in front of his fellow countrymen on Saturday night. Will he give them something to cheer about?

Mark Vologdin in Search of Definitive Result in Sophomore UFC Bout

In the other corner, Mark Vologdin will be making his second walk to the fabled Octagon on Saturday with a 3-1-1 record in his last five outings. Although he failed to secure a UFC contract by way of Contender Series early last fall, he joined the UFC roster for a fight last April versus John Castaneda (21-8-1 MMA, 4-4-1 UFC.)

That bout inside the Meta Apex facility in Enterprise, NV ended in a majority draw. Given that the April 18 contest ended without a victor getting his hand raised, Vologdin comes into the Octagon for a second time looking for a win. 

Not only will Vologdin be fighting Nikolic this weekend, but he'll also be battling a hostle Belgrade crowd. Only time will tell if he can tune out the boos and secure his first win in the promotion.
