UFC Vegas 120 Unleashes Awesome Main Card on Apex!

UFC Vegas 120 fight week rolls on. It's been a long while since the promotion has held an event at its homebase of Meta Apex, but this Saturday night, the company is back home for another edition of UFC Fight Night. 

Live coverage of UFC Vegas 120 begins in the late afternoon on Saturday at 5 pm ET/ 2 pm PT with the prelims. Inside the United States of America, all of the action from UFC Vegas 120 can be seen via Paramount Plus.

Main card action caps the night's activities at 8 pm ET/ 5 pm PT on the subscription-based streaming platform. If there are no adjustments needed to be made to the schedule between now and this weekend, 12 fights will comprise this week's UFC show.

UFC Vegas 120 Main Event: No. 8 Contender Mateusz Gamrot vs. No. 12 Contender Quillan Sallkild: "Gamer" Hunting for Second Straight Win

At the top of the bill at UFC Vegas 120 on Saturday night, the lightweights take to the fabled Octagon when No. 8 contender Mateusz Gamrot (26-4, 1 NC MMA, 9-4 UFC) fights No. 12 contender Quillan Sallkild (12-1 MMA, 5-0 UFC.) The UFC Vegas 120 main event is an advertised five rounds at five minutes per round.

Gamrot enters this weekend's headliner at Meta Apex with a record of 3-2 in his last five UFC appearances. Back on the night of April 11, he finished Esteban Ribovics (15-3 MMA, 4-3 UFC) with a second-round submission by way of rear-naked choke.

Numerically speaking, Mateusz Gamrot has won 14 fights before the final horn has blared and recorded his 14th stoppage in Miami at UFC 327. Will he secure another victory inside the Apex?

Quillan Sallkild on Hot Streak Ahead of UFC Vegas 120

Meanwhile, Quillan Sallkild is sporting a 5-0 record in his past five outings and has yet to lose since joining the UFC's active roster in February of last year. Across all competitions, he's on a 12-fight winning streak.

On May 2, he scored a first-round knockout against Beneil Dariush (23-8-1 MMA, 17-8-1 UFC) during UFC Perth. In so doing, he pocketed his third straight $50,000 (USD) cash advance for the Performance of the Night.  Sallkild is a man who's won by stoppage 75 percent of the time in his career.

Another highlight-reel finish in UFC Vegas 120's main event and a spot in the top 10 at 155 could await him as soon as Monday morning.

UFC Vegas 120 Co-Main Event: Diego Ferreira vs. Billy Quarantillo: Ferreira Returns After 11 Months Away

Immediately beforehand, the co-main event of UFC Vegas 120 sees the action stay at 155 for a fight matching Diego Ferreira (19-7 MMA, 10-7 UFC) against Billy Quarantllo (18-7 MMA, 6-5 UFC) in the latter's first fight since moving up from featherweight. This is a three-round fight at five minutes per round.

Ferreira comes into the UFC Vegas 120 co-main event having posted a mark of 2-3 in his last five fights. Last September, he was defeated by way of second-round knockout against Alexander Hernandez (18-9 MMA, 10-8 UFC) during the 2025 version of Noche UFC in San Antonio.

This was Ferreira's second defeat in a row.  It's been close to a full year since Ferreira set foot inside the Octagon, which begs the age-old question of how much ring rust does he have going into this co-main event? Tune in and find out.

Billy Quarantillo Moves up to 155 for UFC Vegas 120 Co-Main Event

Across the way, Billy Quarantillo comes into the weekend on a 2-3 record of his own over his past five bouts. In December of 2024, he was on the losing end of a third-round knockout due to a right cross from Cub Swanson (31-14 MMA, 16-10 UFC) during UFC Tampa.

This contest would prove to be Quarantillo's last at featherweight. During UFC Vegas 120 media day this week, he mentioned he's been away from competition due to a series of knee surgeries and also explained the shift from featherweight to lightweight.

"I decided to move up a weight class because I'm getting older, but bigger, stronger," Quarantillo told the assembled press. It's been great so far keeping the size on, but obviously a long layoff."

With a clean bill of health now afforded to Billy Quarantillo ahead of UFC Vegas 120 and with Quarantillo now at lightweight, how will he fare?

UFC Vegas 120: Darren Elkins vs. Yadier del Valle: Elkins Looking to Ride Off into Sunset in Last Fight

Also on the UFC Vegas 120 main card, featherweight action takes place when Darren Elkins (29-12 MMA, 19-11 UFC) makes the walk to the cage for the 42nd and final time in his pro career against Yadier del Valle (10-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC.)

Elkins enters his last career fight with a record of 3-2 in his last five contests. Last time out, he lost by first-round knockout to Julian Erosa (31-13 MMA, 9-9 UFC.) Elkins addressed the press at UFC Vegas 120 media day and said he doesn't think he'd transition to BKFC upon his MMA retirement.

"I'd probably die," Elkins told the media. "My fights are bloody. Could you imagine me in that?"

While Darren Elkins looks to write a storybook ending to his MMA career, his opponent wants to spoil the retirement party.

Yadier del Valle Looking to Return to Win Column

In the other corner, Yadier del Valle enters UFC Vegas 120 Saturday night sporting a 4-1 record in his last five appearances. Last time out, he saw his 10-fight winning streak snapped at the hands of Jordan Leavitt (13-4 MMA, 6-4 UFC) in UFC Houston in February.

While a fighter is dangerous when he's on a hot streak, he can be equally dangerous in the first fight after a loss. Only time will tell if del Valle can return to victory lane.

UFC Vegas 120's main card is rounded out by a strawweight fight matching No. 8 contender Amanda Lemos (15-6-1 MMA, 9-6 UFC) against No. 12 contender Alexia Thainara (14-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) and a welterweight bout between Billy Ray Goff (9-4 MMA, 1-2 UFC) and Ty Miller (7-0, 1 NC MMA, 1-0 UFC.)
