From “The City of Festivals” of Montreal, UFC 315 will showcase some of the best that Canadian mixed martial arts has to offer. Headlining the show, welterweight kingpin Belal Muhammad puts his strap on the line when he battles Australian phenom Jack Della Maddalena. Also defending her belt, women’s combat sports icon Valentina Shevchenko locks horns with flyweight juggernaut Manon Fiorot.

UFC 315 Main Event

Seizing the 170-lb crown in dominant fashion by toppling Leon Edwards last year at UFC 304, Muhammad steps into the cage for the first time as champion after having to pull out of UFC 310 this past December. Now, possessing a clean bill of health, “Remember the Name” seeks to kickstart a long and successful reign in the UFC 315 main event with a statement-making victory in the Great White North.

Riding a phenomenal 17-fight win streak, Della Maddalena will contend for his first ever UFC championship after attaining stellar victories over the likes of Randy Brown, Kevin Holland and Gilbert Burns. Originally meant to square off with Edwards last March at UFC Fight Night 255, the Aussie now finds himself in the biggest contest of his life during UFC 315 as he vies for promotional gold.

UFC 315 Co-Main Event

Retaking her belt with the utmost ease over Alexa Grasso last September, Shevchenko is set to begin her second stint as women’s flyweight champion after previously defending her place at the top seven times. Standing at the number one spot on the UFC’s female pound-for-pound rankings, “Bullet” can solidify her status as the greatest women’s competitor in the world by halting the advance of the unstoppable Frenchwoman during UFC 315.

Undefeated in her last dozen bouts, Fiorot has skyrocketed up the 125-lb class over the past four years. Having already garnered wins against stern opposition like Rose Namajunas and Erin Blanchfield, “The Beast” stands as arguably the toughest obstacle that Shevchenko has come across in quite some time.

More Bouts On the Main Card

Rounding out the main card of UFC 315, former two-time featherweight apex José Aldo battles Aiemann Zahabi, while previous women’s flyweight title holder Alexa Grasso grapples with Natália Silva. Finally, French striking sensation Benoit-Saint Denis throws down with late replacement Kyle Prepolec in the opening contest.

UFC 315 Predictions and Staff Picks

MMASucka staff picks are composed of four of the world’s leading mixed martial arts organizations: the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), the Professional Fighters League (PFL), ONE Championship (ONE FC), and Dana White’s Contender Series (DWCS).

  • UFC picks will include main card fights ranging from four to six matchups per event.
  • PFL picks from main cards for pay-per-views and from tournament fights in the Regular Season, Playoffs, and Finals.
  • ONE FC and DWCS picks will feature all MMA fights from the event with a minimum of three matchups.

The individual who picks the most victorious fighters by the end of 2025 will have a choice between receiving a custom-made championship belt from ProAmBelts or a detailed chain from Championship Chains. Staff picks in 2023 were won by Ben Jamieson with a record of 300-148.
