Arman Tsarukyan has completed a Hyrox race in an extremely impressive time of 1:06.

Arman Tsarukyan and side quests seem to go hand in hand. The consensus #2-ranked lightweight in the world is at the top of his game in MMA, but is seemingly being left out in the cold by Dana White and co.

Reasonably, he should be next in line for a title shot at Justin Gaethje. He's won five straight, including wins over Beneil Dariush, Charles Oliveira and Dan Hooker. The Armenian wrestler is being lined up for a rematch with Oliveira for the BMF title, although nothing is official yet.

He isn't just sitting around waiting for the call, however. He's competed in plenty of grappling matches, but more recently, completed 'the world's toughest race', a Hyrox.

What is a Hyrox?

Simply put, a Hyrox is a hybrid, functional fitness race. It consists of eight stations, each broken up by a 1km run. The format is as follows:

1km SkiErg, 50 meter 152kg sled Push, 50 meter 103kg sled Pull, 80 meter burpee broad jumps, 1km rowing, 200 meter 24kg farmers carry, 100m 20kg sandbag lunges, and that's all finished off with 100 wall balls with a 6kg medicine ball.

Let's not forget, each of those stations is completed after a 1km run.

Tsarukyan and a friend completed this in an extremely good time of 1:06:39.

From the Octagon to...

The side quests are great for Tsarukyan. It keeps him busy, allows him to stay in phenomenal shape and importantly, keeps him out of trouble, something he's struggled with in the past. With that being said, it's time we saw him back in the octagon competing against the best in the world.

There's a good chance that the Armenian is the best 155er on the planet, but if he keeps being inconsistent with fight dates, we'll never find out.

He hasn't competed since 2025, his only outing of the year. He then only competed once in 2024 and twice in 2023. That's four times in three years. Compare that to Charles Oliveira, who has had two more fights in that time. The champ has had six fights in that time.

It's time we saw Arman back in the octagon... soon.
