Brendan Allen and UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping had a hilarious verbal exchange after UFC Vegas 122.

Brendan Allen secured a spectacular fifth-round submission victory against Christian Leroy Duncan in the headlining match of UFC Vegas 122 on October 10.

Allen followed it up with a callout of former UFC middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis, whilst also engaging in some friendly banter with retired MMA star and ex-UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping.

During his post-fight Octagon interview with UFC Hall of Famer Michael Bisping, Brendan Allen seemed to acknowledge that Christian Leroy Duncan was a tough opponent. He said:

"He's tougher than I thought. But I knew deeper waters. I just started -- I just couldn't get out of the fog. I just felt a little slow tonight. But it happens. We still got through it."

Allen seemingly gave props to "CLD." He also affirmed that he's now scored consecutive wins over top prospects, having outpointed Edmen Shahbazyan earlier this year and now having submitted Duncan.

The 30-year-old is currently ranked No. 5 in the UFC middleweight division, per the Meta UFC rankings. Also, he's ranked No. 4 in the division, per the Media Panel rankings. He highlighted that he's now done enough to solidify his top-five ranking and a title shot could be in the offing.

Harking back to his TKO victory against Reinier de Ridder last year, Allen reaffirmed his standing as an elite combatant at 185 pounds. "All In" appeared to call out Dricus du Plessis and jestingly call out Bisping as well. He stated:

"I think we'll be rewarded next. Where's the champion (Sean Strickland)? If not, where's Dricus (du Plessis)? You (du Plessis) have been running for a while. If not, Mike (Michael Bisping), put your belt back up."

Bisping, known to be one of the fiercest on the microphone during his time as a fighter, wittily responded. The UFC commentator lightheartedly stated:

"Dricus du Plessis? You're calling me out? Bro, I'm almost 50."

Brendan Allen vs. Dricus du Plessis -- a UFC grudge match

Brendan Allen has long been at loggerheads with Dricus du Plessis, having traded barbs with the former UFC middleweight divisional ruler. He even accused "DDP" of opting for an "easier fight" against former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman rather than facing him back in July.

Allen reiterated his stance regarding du Plessis after UFC Vegas 122, challenging the South African to settle their longstanding feud inside the Octagon. It remains to be see whether or not the Allen vs. Du Plessis grudge match ever comes to fruition.

Meanwhile, Sean Strickland is expected to defend his UFC middleweight belt against Nassourdine Imavov, likely sometime in the first quarter of 2027. Strickland, on his part, has been embroiled in a public spat over his supposedly low pay with the UFC and has underlined that he wouldn't fight till his issues are resolved.
