Colby Covington mocks Belal Muhammad over the ex-UFC champion's fatherhood before RAF 11

Colby Covington made some highly personal remarks about former UFC champion Belal Muhammad before their RAF 11 matches.
Colby Covington has once again set the combat sports community abuzz with a few polarizing remarks, this time about longtime UFC welterweight rival Belal Muhammad.
Covington, a former interim UFC welterweight champion who retired from MMA in May of this year, has long been at odds with Muhammad. The latter, for his part, happens to be a former UFC welterweight champion.

Colby Covington's last UFC appearance saw him suffer a TKO defeat against Joaquin Buckley in December of 2024. The California-born combatant hasn't fought in MMA since, but he's competed in the wrestling realm, going 3-0 under the RAF (Real American Freestyle) wrestling banner.
On the other hand, Belal Muhammad is still an active competitor on the UFC roster. "Remember the Name" is on a three-fight losing streak. The Chicago-born combatant of Palestinian descent is coming off a unanimous decision loss at the hands of Gabriel Bonfim, whom he faced last month.
Presently, Colby Covington is booked to wrestle against UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan. The duo is going to clash in a catchweight matchup for the inaugural RAF crossover championship, given that they're crossover athletes who've competed in both MMA and wrestling. They'll headline RAF 11 in Milwaukee on July 18.
Meanwhile, Belal Muhammad is scheduled to wrestle against former UFC welterweight contender Ben Askren, who valiantly battled against severe health issues last year. Their cruiserweight clash will co-headline RAF 11.

The UFC's official website put forth a few notable details from a conversation with Belal Muhammad earlier this year.
Muhammad -- who lost his UFC welterweight title last year, in his very first attempt at defending it -- affirmed that 2025 was a good year for him nonetheless. The veteran fighter noted that he had his first child, a daughter, in 2025.
Well, Muhammad's longtime rival, Colby Covington, referenced the aforementioned information during the RAF 11 pre-event press conference.
Covington asserted that before he got started with his portion of the press conference, he'd like to address someone who'd been saying many "mean things" about him, alluding to the jibes Belal Muhammad has directed at him during their long-running war of words.
"Chaos" appeared to jestingly claim that he's a humble man and would take the high road. He seemed to sarcastically congratulate Muhammad on becoming a father.
Covington stated, "I'm gonna take the high road, Belal. And I'm gonna congratulate you. I heard you just became a father. So, you know, congratulations. Can we give a round of applause for Belal? He just became a father."
Several people in attendance obliged and applauded. Covington then made a few remarks regarding Muhammad's physical appearance as well as that of his wife/partner, the latter of whom the Chicago-based fighter has largely kept away from the public eye.
Covington said, "So amazing. What a great step to go in the journey. But I just got one question to ask you, Belal. Who the f**k let you hit? Bro, you're one of the ugliest m*therf**kers I've seen in my life. That girl must look like a gargoyle."
Covington's jibes about Muhammad's looks elicited laughter from the former's RAF 11 opponent, Arman Tsarukyan. Meanwhile, Muhammad, who was seated among the audience after having completed his portion of the press conference, refrained from escalating his feud with "Chaos" immediately after the comments.
