Dana White expects Charles Oliveira vs. Diego Lopes to be “absolutely bat s*** crazy” when they fight for the BMF title at UFC 335.
Dana White expects Charles Oliveira and Diego Lopes to put on a fight worthy of the BMF title's reputation. The two aggressive finishers are set to collide at UFC 335. The UFC CEO believes that the matchup contains all the ingredients for an absolutely unforgettable main event.
Dana White Expects BMF Clash to Be "Crazy"
Oliviera will be defending the BMF championship against Lopes in the UFC 335 main event on December 12 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Their matchup was officially announced during the UFC 332 broadcast, allowing Lopes his very first opportunity to fight for UFC gold since moving up from featherweight.
When asked about the matchup, White did not hesitate in his response about what he expected from the two fan favorites.

“It should be absolutely bat s*** crazy, that fight,” White exclaimed.
His prediction is understandable, taking into account the reputations of both fighters. Oliveira is known as one of the most prolific finishers in UFC history. Meanwhile, Lopes did not take long to establish himself as one of the most dangerous featherweights since joining the roster.
While Oliveira successfully captured the BMF belt at UFC 326 in March, defeating Max Holloway over five rounds and eventually securing a unanimous decision, his victory extended his current winning streak to two.
Lopes Brings Dangerous Finishing Abilities
Lopes enters the matchup following an impressive second-round knockout of Steve Garcia at UFC Freedom 250. His win followed his second unsuccessful attempt at taking the UFC featherweight title from Alexander Volkanovski. The Brazilian finally has an opportunity to make a significant impact at lightweight.
Furthermore, the move to 155 pounds gives him a new challenge against one of the most experienced contenders in the division. Lopes has already proven himself worthy in high-pressure fights and has gone the championship distance twice against Volkanovski.
Meanwhile, Oliveira will be making his first defense of the BMF championship. His win over Holloway came significantly via grappling; however, Lopes would present an entirely different challenge with his signature aggressive striking and submission threat.
It seems like White’s prediction could prove fitting once the Octagon doors close in December, with both fighters known for their willingness to engage.
