Eduardo Henrique steps in on short notice to face Charles Johnson at UFC 330

Jose Ochoa is out of UFC 330, but Charles Johnson will remain on the card. The Peruvian has withdrawn from his scheduled flyweight bout against Johnson due to an injury. Now, Eduardo Henrique will make his UFC debut as Ochoa's replacement just four days before Saturday's event in Philadelphia. The change was first announced by Johnson on social media and later confirmed on the UFC's official event page.

Eduardo Henrique Steps in on Four Days Notice

A former LFA champion, Henrique will make his UFC debut on extremely short notice. In September of last year, the Brazilian defeated An Tuan Ho by unanimous decision on Dana White's Contender Series, extending his winning streak to five fights. Despite the victory, however, Chapolin was not offered a UFC contract at the time.

The Brazilian also competed on Season 33 of The Ultimate Fighter in 2025. Now, just days after accepting the fight, he will finally get the opportunity to make his official Octagon debut.

Charles Johnson Remains One of UFC's Busiest Fighters

Meanwhile, Johnson is set to compete for the fourth time in 2026. The flyweight veteran looks to bounce back after losing by submission to Asu Almabayev in June. Since 2025, the American has gone through ups and downs inside the Octagon, compiling a 2-3 record during that stretch. In 2024, Johnson won all four of his appearances before having his winning streak snapped by Ramazonbek Temirov.

The bout against Henrique will also make Johnson the UFC's most active fighter in 2026, with his four appearances coming at an average interval of roughly 98 days.

With Ochoa out and Henrique stepping in at the last minute, Johnson will now face a completely different challenge at UFC 330. For the Brazilian, meanwhile, the short-notice opportunity could finally give him the UFC debut he has been waiting for since his Contender Series victory.
