Fans Chime in on Israel Adesanya’s Khabib Nurmagomedov Formula for Arman Tsarukyan

The talks about Arman Tsarukyan facing Justin Gaethje for the title are gaining a lot of momentum currently. After Tsarukyan knocked out Mauricio Ruffy in round one of their fight in UFC 331, the Armenian star directly challenged Gaethje to accept the fight, but fighting ‘The Highlight’ won’t be a walk in the park for the 29-year-old. And that’s why Israel Adesanya asked ‘Ahalkalakets’ to adopt Khabib Nurmagomedov’s tactics to shoot for the win. As the game plan went viral online, MMA fans too had a lot to add. 

One fan said, “Smothering pressure and make Gaethje's wrestling deteriorate overtime.”

Dissecting ‘Eagle’s' game plan, a fan quipped, “Khabib wrestled for maybe 2 minutes total. He pressured Justin and was running towards him. Heavy pressure and high volume, and ended the rounds with takedowns.”

Another one chimed in, “Khabib put a grueling pace on Justin that he has never experienced. That pace was crazy even for lightweight.”

What Advice did Israel Adesanya give Arman Tsarukyan?

Surely, Gaethje just faced the most fearsome striker in the UFC. While most fans predicted an easy victory for Ilia Topuria, the outcome was quite shocking. Gaethje’s chaotic striking left Topuria bruised and medically unfit to continue. Thus, Adesanya doesn't want Tsarukyan to engage in striking with ‘The Highlight.’

In a recent segment, ‘Izzy’ said, “So, Arman to get the job done and be the champ, he'll have to just heavily wrestle, and do what pretty much Khabib did. Just heavily wrestle. And I think Arman's big enough, also good enough on the stand-up, that he'll be able to compete with Justin standing up."

 

While Gaethje has taken the year off, Tsarukyan has pressed the champion to come back inside the octagon soon.
