Khabib Nurmagomedov details how he has lost sponsorship and money for his support towards Palestine.

Khabib Nurmagomedov has extended his support towards Palestine on several occasions. Following the tensions with Israel, the former UFC champion has shared multiple updates detailing the devastation and loss of lives in the country. However, in a recent statement, the ā€˜Eagle’ pointed out how he had to pay quite a hefty price for publicly supporting Palestine.

Khabib Nurmagomedov Keeps Humanity Over Money

In a recent interaction, Nurmagomedov opened up about how his support for Palestine has resulted in brands dropping his sponsorships. There were several instances where the Dagestani legend had a cancelled deal due to his comments.

Detailing the same, Nurmagomedov commented, in a clip shared by streamer Sneako, ā€œFor example, I am a famous athlete. Can you imagine, when you post about them you lose contracts, you lose sponsorships. Many sponsors they don’t want to work with some athletes who support Palestine. Not even support, just say something, they cancel contracts.ā€

He further added, ā€œYou think it not happen with me or it doesn’t happen with Islam or Usman ? It’s happened with us, we lost money too. But money compared to lives is nothing.ā€

The UFC legend explained why he keeps on dropping updates about Palestine. The 37-year-old pointed out that according to him, it was his responsibility to show people what is going on. Thus, instead of keeping silent, the former UFC champ chooses to make people aware of what he calls ā€œsad things.ā€

Khabib Nurmagomedov Shared His Dreams About Palestine

Back in 2025, Nurmagomedov attended a community event in the United States which was hosted by the Miftaah Institute. Addressing the crowd, the ā€˜Eagle’ stated how he dreamt about Palestine becoming an independent country with a ā€˜beautiful’ airport in Gaza.

Continuing with his vision for Palestine, the Dagestani fighter elaborated, ā€œI'll open my school there, Khabib Gym, bring some very good coaches, and train them. I believe many tough athletes are going to come from there, and they're going to represent their beautiful country around the world."

Thus, with a lot going on, it now remains to be seen how things pan out next.
