Khamzat Chimaev Offers Sean Strickland $1 Million for a Fight: “Send Me Your Location”

Khamzat Chimaev offers Sean Strickland $1 million for a rematch and tells him to “send me your location” to settle their rivalry.
Khamzat Chimaev is prepared to put his money where his mouth is on a rematch with Sean Strickland. The former UFC middleweight champ has offered an astounding $1 million for a rematch, making it clear that he doesn't care whether the fight is inside or outside the Octagon.
Chimaev Puts $1 Million on the Line
In a message that quickly caught social media attention, Chimaev directly called out Strickland, offering the reigning middleweight champion a seven-figure payday.
“Strickland, I’ll pay you $1 million,” Chimaev challenged.
He didn't stop there. Taking the challenge a step further, he told Strickland to choose the location himself. “Send me your location and let’s fight. I don’t care if it’s outside or inside the cage.”
This highly unusual proposition comes in the wake of Chimaev's first professional career loss to Strickland at UFC 328 in May. The two fighters went five rounds, with Strickland ultimately earning a split decision to win the UFC middleweight title.
The result has clearly not dampened Chimaev's desire to settle the score. He had previously expressed his desire for a rematch with Strickland this year, boasting that he intended to take his head off in the rematch.
Strickland's Title Situation Adds Another Twist
Chimaev's offer might be coming at an awkward time for Strickland. The champ is currently still negotiating his next title defense, with Nassourdine Imavov now emerging as the leading contender for the next fight.
That makes a rematch with Chimaev challenging to arrange right away. Chimaev currently sits at No. 1 in the middleweight rankings, while Strickland holds the belt.
As for now, Chimaev has made his stance clear. He intends to have Strickland back- and he is willing to offer $1 million to make it happen.
