Lorenzo Hunt and ex-UFC star Mike Perry face off at BKFC 91 Naples after Hunt's historic title win
Lorenzo Hunt made history by becoming the first BKFC three-division champion, later facing off with the "King of Violence" Mike Perry.
Mike Perry and Lorenzo Hunt partook in a cordial, albeit intense, face-off after the conclusion of BKFC 91 Naples on July 18.
Perry -- an ex-UFC welterweight star, who previously won and defended the BKFC's symbolic "King of Violence" title -- expressed his respect for Hunt. Nevertheless, the two MMA veterans also traded a few fighting words while posing for the cameras.
Currently, Perry possesses the BKFC King of Violence belt, whereas Hunt is the reigning BKFC light heavyweight kingpin. He also captured the promotion's inaugural ironweight belt at BKFC 91 Naples.

Lorenzo Hunt is a two-time BKFC light heavyweight titlist. It's a title that was his first under the BKFC (Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship) promotional banner.
He has, in the past, held the BKFC cruiserweight belt as well, thereby earning the honor of being a two-division champion in the bare-knuckle boxing promotion in recent years. The KO artist entered BKFC 91 Naples as the light heavyweight kingpin, and he's looking to reclaim the cruiserweight belt as well.
The American fighter came up short due to an injury-induced TKO loss against Mick Terrill in his attempt to win the BKFC heavyweight title back in 2024. He, however, finally captured a BKFC title in a third weight class a few hours ago.
Hunt faced the then-undefeated Italian bare-knuckle combatant Walter Pugliesi in the headlining match of BKFC 91 Naples. With the inaugural BKFC ironweight title at stake, the two striking savants engaged in a thriller that witnessed both get knocked down.
It turned out to be a war for the ages, featuring several shifts in momentum. Hunt, ultimately, managed to stop Pugliesi in round four, securing the knockout win and notching the ironweight belt.
The 43-year-old, as such, made history by becoming the first-ever three-weight world champion in the BKFC.

Lorenzo Hunt hints at facing BKFC cruiserweight champion Alessio Sakara; calls out and faces off with King of Violence titleholder Mike Perry
Former UFC fighters Alessio Sakara and Chris Camozzi clashed for the BKFC cruiserweight belt last October, with Sakara emerging victorious via split decision.
Italy's Sakara was in attendance for BKFC 91 Naples and had a respectful face-off with Lorenzo Hunt, who expressed interest in fighting him for the BKFC cruiserweight title.
Furthermore, Hunt also faced off with ex-UFC welterweight and longtime BKFC staple Mike Perry. It's noteworthy that a potential fight between Hunt and Perry in the BKFC has long been a topic of discussion among many fight fans.
Ergo, the belief is that the long-awaited possible Perry vs. Hunt matchup could materialize before Hunt's potential clash against cruiserweight kingpin Sakara or his other rivals.
Inviting Perry into the BKFC Squared Circle, Hunt stated, "Me and 'Platinum' Mike Perry. Me, to get in this ring and sort out who is the king of BKFC. Please face off with me, Mike Perry."
Perry alluded to the tough fight that Hunt just had against Walter Pugliesi, seemingly suggesting that he'd be a far tougher opponent for "The Juggernaut" than "Kraken" was.
Moreover, Hunt touched one of Perry's fists and lightheartedly indicated that they're quite formidable. They reiterated their respect for each other and parted ways.
