Maycee Barber vs Carli Judice Official for UFC 335
Maycee Barber is returning to action for the first time since she suffered one of the most brutal losses in UFC history. Taking on the former flyweight queen, Alexa Grasso, Barber appeared to be both knocked out and choked unconscious simultaneously in a truly brutal finish. The American remained unconscious for a prolonged period of time following the finish, and fans and media alike were concerned for her well-being.
That loss snapped a very impressive seven-fight winning run. On that run, she recorded big wins over former title challengers Katlyn Cerminara and Jessica Eye. Getting back in the win column won't be easy as she takes on the all-action Carli Judice.
'Juicy' Judice has a record of 7-2, with six of her wins coming via finish. She earned a contract on the Contender Series, despite losing a decision. Her UFC debut would see her lose again, this time via split decision.
From there, however, her career has been on the up.
She notched a brutal, highlight-reel knockout over Yuneisy Duben, earning her a performance bonus. Next came another performance bonus, this time with a gut-wrenching knee landed to the body of Nicolle Caliari. Julianna Miller was then dominated over 15 minutes, and last time out, Judice scored yet another bonus with a finish over Jeisla Chaves. She landed a slick teep to the body, snatching the life out of Chaves and earning the win.
It's a huge step up in competition for Judice, but a win over Barber could catapult her into title contention.
