Paddy Pimblett Calls Ilia Topuria a “Sore Loser” Over Justin Gaethje Glove Claims

After a couple of months, Topuria fully recovered from his injury and came back with a controversial claim. He accused ‘The Highlight’ of cheating and tampering with his gloves. While many UFC legends have dismissed the claim as a ridiculous statement, Paddy Pimblett has now shared his thoughts, saying ‘El Matador’ is acting like a sore loser.

Pimblett said he would not be surprised if Topuria and Gaethje fight again. He does not believe the current lightweight champion had anything in his gloves and pointed out that the commission checks the fighters and their hand wraps before the fight. The British fighter also thinks ‘El Matador’ is upset about losing and is not taking the loss like a champion.

In his words, “With all the stuff coming out now with Ilja and Justin, it wouldn't surprise me if they end up fighting and having a rematch. Ilia’s trying to say that he had stuff in his gloves, which he definitely never. You know, the commission watch, you get your hands wrapped, think Ilia’s just being a sore loser, lad's being a little bi*ch about it.”

For those who don’t know, Dana White has also said that there was nothing wrong with Gaethje’s gloves. Meanwhile, Gaethje has already replied to Topuria and said he is ready for a rematch. He is also confident that he can beat him again. On the other hand, the lightweight champion said that whoever Topuria fights next will have a tough time. This could be a hint that he may fight Arman Tsarukyan next after his win at UFC 331.

Despite Topuria accusing Gaethje of tampering with his gloves, the champion has said that whoever fights him next is going to have a very tough fight. ‘The Highlight’ said Topuria is one of the best fighters in the world and praised his skills. He also made it clear that he was not trying to disrespect Topuria, saying he thinks very highly of him.

“Outside of those mental mistakes, he is one of the best in the world. There’s no doubt about it. He is so skilled, and whoever fights him next is gonna be f*cked. Everything I say, I’m never talking sh*t about the guy because he’s so good,” Gaethje stated.

Tsarukyan feels that beating Ruffy has earned him the title shot. Now, we will have to wait and see if he can beat Justin Gaethje and win the belt. At the same time, another big question is who Topuria will fight next.
