Sean O’Malley Accuses Henry Cejudo of Jealousy After Repeated ‘He’ll Beat Sean’ Claims

Sean O’Malley has fired back at Henry Cejudo, accusing the former champion of jealousy over his repeated claims that other fighters can beat him.
Payton Talbott knocked out Deivison Figueiredo at UFC 332, and Henry Cejudo used the moment to call out Sean O'Malley on social media. He argued that nobody wants to fight Talbott, who has been ignored for a year, and said he deserves the best competition. Cejudo also said O'Malley is being protected by the UFC and pushed for Talbott vs. O'Malley to be made next. Now, talking about the same, ‘Suga’ has accused ‘CCC’ of jealousy, given it’s not the first time he has made claims about a big name beating O’Malley.
Sean O’Malley Questions Henry Cejudo’s Obsession With His Losses
Talking with MMA Guru, O'Malley had plenty to say about Cejudo's take. He said that every time someone beats ‘CCC’ in a fight, Cejudo predicts they're going to fall apart against O'Malley. According to the former champ, Cejudo did the same thing with Aljamain Sterling and with Merab Dvalishvili. O'Malley said he doesn't get it either but added that jealousy is never a good thing.
“He wants to see, he loves, every time anyone ever beats him in a fight, he goes, 'Oh, they're going to fuck Sean up, dude! They're going to totally fuck Sean up!' He did that with Aljo, he did that with... Merab... I don't get it either. But you know what they say: jealousy is not a good thing,” O’Malley said.
Talbott has now beaten two former champions back to back, so it will be interesting to see whether he actually gets O'Malley. Cejudo isn't the only one pushing for the fight, either. Daniel Cormier is calling for it too.
Sean O’Malley Puts ‘Ducking’ Theory to Rest
Talbott called out O'Malley after the win and told him to stop running. In his post-fight interview, he said "Suga" can't hide forever and needs to give the fans the fight they want. ‘Suga’ has recently fired back. The former champion pointed out that his recent bouts came against bantamweight legends like Merab Dvalishvili, Aljamain Sterling, and Petr Yan. O’Malley said, “4 out of last 7 fights have been against 3 of the greatest bantamweights of all time. Ain’t duckin no one.”
O'Malley isn't someone who ducks opponents. He has fought big names like Marlon ‘Chito’ Vera, Aljamain Sterling, Petr Yan, and Song Yadong, among many others. Calling him a duck doesn't really hold up.
