Usman Nurmagomedov drops Return Timeline alongside Confident Claim about his UFC Future
Usman Nurmagomedov stated that he will be looking to make a decision by the end of October 2026.
The hype around Usman Nurmagomedov is shooting through the roof at the moment. Signed with the PFL, the Dagestani star has emerged as one of the biggest draws in the mixed martial arts industry. With his incredible skill set, Usman has been undefeated up to now. With speculations about him joining the UFC, no concrete update has yet been announced. Thankfully, the 28-year-old has now confirmed his return timeline.
In a recent statement, Nurmagomedov pointed out that he will be looking to make a decision about his future by the end of October. Additionally, the undefeated champion also pointed out that he didn't require a warm-up bout. Instead, the UFC can give him anyone from the top 10.

Nurmagomedov said, “I don't need a warm-up fight... I've got the experience. A five-round fight against any UFC fighter? No problem. Name a single fighter I should feel nervous about.”
He added, “Let them give me anyone they want. Arman, Justin, Oliveira, Holloway... who else. The entire top 10. 1 can beat the whole division."
Nurmagomedov is currently a free agent with his PFL contract expiring a few months ago. With the rumors about him joining the UFC emerging, the likes of Dana White expressed significant interest in signing the undefeated fighter.
Islam Makhachev Wants Usman Nurmagomedov to Join UFC
After Khabib Nurmagomedov established himself as a legend of the sport, it was up to Islam Makhachev to carry forward the legacy. And now, with Makhachev nearing the end of his career, he wants Usman to step up and take the baton. In a recent interaction, the two-division champion pointed out that Usman has a 90% chance of joining the UFC. He also stated that this might be the best time for the 28-year-old to join the UFC.
Makhachev said, “It's the perfect move for him, he needs to prove he's the best in the world, he could face a top 10 rival and soon earn a title shot. He grew up alongside Khabib and me, has trained with the best from the start of his career and has extensive experience working with champions, now is the best time for him to join the UFC."
With fans waiting eagerly, it remains to be seen if Usman makes his highly anticipated entry into the UFC.
