The PFL returns to Chicago with a stacked card headlined by the vacant flyweight title fight between Liz Carmouche and Jena Bishop.

The PFL returns to the Windy City for the second time this year with an event headlined by a vacant women’s flyweight title fight. The two women lining up in the main event are acutely aware of each other’s talents, as this is a rematch between Liz Carmouche and Jena Bishop.

The co-main event sees Timur Khizriev attempt to remain undefeated and progress to 19-0 in another rematch as he meets Brazilian Gabriel Braga.

With plenty of eye-catching fights up and down the card, we give you our PFL Chicago betting tips.

PFL Chicago Betting Tips

Jena Bishop via Decision

This one is a bold shout. For Jena Bishop to avenge her loss is going to take a huge effort; however, we believe she can do it. Father time waits for no one, and at 42, Liz Carmouche isn’t getting any younger. Yes, she’s on a four-fight winning run that includes a win over Bishop, yes she’s 13-1 since leaving the UFC and yes, she’s a formidable foe.

This is why a Bishop victory is a hard sell. With that being said, let’s take a look at Bishop’s credentials.

Since losing to Carmouche, she took away Borena Tsertsvadze’s undefeated record with a first-round rear-naked choke victory. She followed that up with an armbar victory over Ariana Lipski just two months later. She’s in form, active and more than anything, hungry. At 40, she’s aware that a loss here could spell the end of her career and she’ll be doing everything she can to prevent that from happening.

Abraham Bably via KO/TKO

Emiliano Sordi’s run in the PFL in recent years hasn’t been good. Since drawing with Dan Spohn in June 2021, he has lost three straight in the promotion. After a 3- 1 stint outside of the PFL, he returned against Simeon Powell in May but again came up short.

Balby had his run of three straight first-round finishes ended last time out when he lost to Rob Wilkinson. The Brit will look to get back to winning ways and likely do so at a fairly pedestrian pace. It’ll be wrestling-heavy, but Balby will get it done.

Paulina Wisniewska via finish

Poland’s superstar, Paulina Wisniewska, returns to action in Chicago to take on Chelsea Hackett at flyweight. Running out for her second outing this year (and second in Chicago), the 27-year-old will be looking to continue her winning ways. She impressed with a second-round finish over Kana Watanabe, finishing the Japanese athlete quicker than Liz Carmouche and Jena Bishop.

Hackett is good, though she hasn’t quite lived up to the hype she once had. She’s still only 26, so she still has a whole lot to offer the PFL; however, every time she’s stepped up in competition in the PFL, she’s lost. Both Bishop and Dakota Ditcheva have finished Hackett, and we’re predicting that Wisniewska does the same thing.
