UFC Vegas 122 Staff Picks: Middleweight Contenders Clash
The UFC touches down at Meta Apex this weekend, as middleweight contenders Brendan Allen and Christian Leroy Duncan thrown down in the top-billed bout of UFC Vegas 122.
Before that, however, lightweight prospect Matheus Camilo puts his two-fight win streak on the line when he battles English luminary Jai Herbert.
UFC Vegas 122 Main Event
At 30-years old, Allen is hitting his prime as one of the best 185-lb athletes on the planet. Winner of three straight, “All In” faces a true divisional juggernaut in the main event this Saturday.
An amazing hard-puncher, Duncan stands as a leading representative of English mixed martial arts in the UFC. Taking home stellar triumphs over veteran fighters in Roman Dolidze and Jared Cannonier, “CLD” is primed for a high-profile 2027 should he manage to trounce the durable Allen.
UFC Vegas 122 Co-Main Event
In his company debut back in 2025, no one could have ever expected Camilo to embark on the run he is currently undertaking after a disappointing loss to Gabe Green. Learning from the mistakes of that fight, “Jaguar” brings a streak of two consecutive victories (including one over Nazim Sadykhov) in his co-main event showing at UFC Vegas 122.
While Herbert’s time in the organization has been marred by problems with consistency, the Englishman has remained an elite seasoned competitor. Locking horns with reputable names like Renato Moicano and Ilia Topuria, “The Black Country Banger” is aiming to make it two in a row in Las Vegas.
More Bouts On UFC Vegas 122 Main Card
Rounding out the main card, Loopy Godínez takes on Ketlen Souza. Then, Andre Fili trades blows with Kai Kamaka III. Finally, Malcolm Wellmaker meets Otari Tanzilovi.
