After John Cena made a motivational post on X, Chael Sonnen didn’t hold back, firing his sarcastic gun at the WWE legend.

There are rarely any fighters in the UFC who can match the wittiness that Chael Sonnen has. During his UFC career, he delivered WWE-level promos, with his trash-talking making him really popular, which he backed up with his fighting skills. However, after his retirement, he still continued his trash-talking and took shots at anyone and everyone. Additionally, he often loves to ridicule John Cena and his tweets, and once again, he did the same.

Chael Sonnen Shuts Down John Cena's Motivational Tweet

Cena has been doing this for years now. He often posts something warm, and thousands of people quote-tweet it like he just cracked the meaning of life. Meanwhile, on X, he wrote, "Strive for a relationship environment that allows disagreement without fear." To which, Sonnen replied, “I despise you.

This isn't new beef, either, Sonnen has been taking shots at Cena's inspirational tweets for years. For instance, when the 17x champion said, “Focus and goals are important in evolving and growth. Make sure during the investment of this or any journey to never take yourself too seriously.” To which, ‘Bad Guy’ replied, “Easy for somebody nobody takes seriously to say.”

Not just that, he even dismissed WWE legend’s career, saying that while he has had an illustrious career, Cena has never beaten him. Meanwhile, this time, when he asks the internet to disagree without fear, and the first reply he gets is someone telling him, without an ounce of fear, that he can't stand him.

Chael Sonnen Ridiculed The Way John Cena Retired

It is no secret that Sonnen is a big WWE fan. Often, in his YouTube videos, he talks about WWE storylines and anything significant that has happened. Last year, when Cena announced his retirement, the UFC legend didn’t seem to like the way he retired.

In his words, “Whoever talked into this in the back is not his friend... It was awful. The little pr— tried to do it with a smile on his face, as a way of going into business for himself. It's over. You tapped out.”

Indeed, it will be interesting to see if this beef ever stops and, if they ever cross paths, what it would be like.
