DWCS 87's weigh-in window took place earlier Monday. MMA Sucka brings you up to speed on what happened on the scales today.

DWCS 87 is almost here. For the next 10 weeks, MMA is on the schedule of events on Tuesday nights, beginning tomorrow as the 10th anniversary season of Dana White's Contender Series takes place.

Every week, viewers will see 10 MMA prospects enter the fabled Octagon inside the newly-renovated Meta Apex in Enterprise, NV in hopes of receiving what 49 lucky fighters got last year on the show, a guaranteed contract in the UFC.

Live coverage of DWCS 87 begins tomorrow night at the show's new starting time of 7 pm ET/ 4 pm PT. Inside the United States, DWCS 87, along with all other DWCS cards this season, can be streamed via Paramount Plus.

Drama-Free Weigh-In Window Ahead of DWCS 87, Including Main Event

Before the 10 contestants booked to appear on DWCS 87 can fight inside the cage, they had to win an important battle at the fighters' hotel earlier this morning: The bout against the scale. Luckily, all fighters slated to compete tomorrow night made weight without issue today.

This includes the combatants at heavyweight slated to lock horns in tomorrow night's main event. Anthony Wint (234 lbs,) formerly a linebacker with the NFL's New York Jets, will be vying for a UFC contract in the Tuesday night headliner after coming in well within the 266-lb nontitle maximum for heavyweights.

Wint's opponent, Matt Adams (235 1/2 lbs,) also had no trouble making the prescribed poundage for the DWCS 87 main event. All fights on Contender Series are a maximum of three-rounds at five minutes per round.

Lightweights on Point for DWCS 87 Co-Main Event

Immediately prior to the DWCS 87 main event, the co-main attraction of the card happens in the lightweight ranks. Fabrizio Escarrega (156 lbs) hit the lightweight nontitle target exactly at the weigh-ins today.

His adversary, Abe Alsaghir (155 1/2 lbs) weighed-in half of a pound under the nontitle maximum during this morning's window.
