Justin Gaethje Gives Fitting Reply to Ilia Topuria’s Gloves Allegation

The smoke between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje is still there. As the duo crossed horns at UFC Freedom 250, Topuria walked in as the sole favorite. But as the bout progressed, it became evident that Gaethje was on a mission of his own.

Showing some elite boxing skills, the current lightweight champion broke Topuria’s game. Now, as ‘El Matador’ is accusing Gaethje of tampering with his gloves, the champion has come up with a fitting reply. 

In a recent statement on X, Topuria gave an update about his medical status. Having suffered some serious injuries, the Spaniard stated that his final medical tests were done. Topuria also pointed out that he is ready to return soon. But along with the message, ‘El Matador’ also had an interesting thing to say about Gaethje’s gloves.

Thanks to everyone for the support. Next time I'Il make sure they check Justin's gloves so he doesn't put anything weird on them. See you soon.”

Immediately after the statement gained traction online, it attracted the attention of none other than Gaethje himself. Promptly addressing the controversy, the UFC Lightweight Champion hit back, saying, “94 days and the best you could come up with is a lame excuse. As terrible as your last performance. Do better kid.”

Topuria was stopped by the medical professionals after the fourth round. Having taken some significant damage, the former UFC two-division champion had vision problems that prompted the medical intervention.

Following the latest comments, the heat between Gaethje and Topuria is bound to go up, and this means fans might be one step closer to witnessing a rematch between the two best boxers in the UFC in recent times.
