Loopy Godinez picked up a big win in Las Vegas, and we look at who could be next for the Mexican.

Loopy Godinez picked up an important bounce-back win when she ground out a decision over Ketlen Souza. Godinez leaned on her experience to get a takedown in the final round to secure the victory.

She improved her overall record to 15-6 and has cemented her spot in the rankings.

We take a look at who might be next for Godinez and whether a big fight could be on the horizon.

Matchmaking Loopy Godinez

Fatima Kline

Fatima Kline is one of the hottest prospects in the UFC's women's divisions. She's enjoying a four-fight winning run, including a dominant win last time out over Tabitha Ricci.

The former CFFC champion is in need of a big win to cement herself in the title picture, and a fight against a well-respected veteran in Godinez would provide her just that.

For Godinez, it would be fighting someone ranked higher than her, allowing her to progress.

Gillian Robertson

Gillian Robertson is in need of a big win to put her back in the title picture. 'The Savage' came up drastically short when she had her shot at the champion, Mackenzie Dern, last time out. She's still an extremely good talent and is 6-1 in her last seven fights.

With that being said, she will be forced to fight 'down' the rankings next and Godinez would be a logical next outing.

Robertson would look to get the fight to the ground and work a submission. Godinez has a strong wrestling game and could prevent Robertson's submission game, forcing both women into a stand-up battle.

Alexia Thainara

Alecia Thainara is the avoided woman at 115lbs. She's solid wherever the fight ends up, has experience at 15-1 (with a UFC record of 4-0) and is only ranked #9, so a win over her doesn't boost many up the rankings.

The Brazilian has wins over Bruna Brasil and Amanda Lemos in her last two outings, and a third win in a row against Godinez could boost her up the rankings considerably.

It's putting two prospects against each other, so it's unlikely to happen next.
