Quillan Salkilld has hinted at when his highly anticipated UFC return could materialize, as calls grow for him to face Max Holloway or Paddy Pimblett.

Quillan Salkilld appears to have provided fans with a hint of when his next fight could take place.

This comes at a time when Salkilld has been linked to potential matchups against UFC superstars such as Max Holloway and Paddy "The Baddy" Pimblett.

Quillan Salkilld teases his next UFC fight for February of 2027

Quillan Salkilld made a mark on the UFC-associated Dana White's Contender Series (DWCS) back in 2024. His main roster debut came the following year. The Australian bested Anshul Jubli via TKO. That was followed by a unanimous decision victory against Yanal Ashmouz. He later beat Nasrat Haqparast by way of KO.

He also competed thrice this year. The 26-year-old beat Jamie Mullarkey via submission. The striking savant then bested Beneil Dariush by way of TKO. Salkilld's latest Octagon outing witnessed him defeat Mateusz Gamrot via submission in August.

Salkilld has now put forth an X post, comprising a few emojis, signaling that he's focused, going to hit the bullseye, and has his fingers crossed that his goal is accomplished. Signaling that his next UFC fight could come to fruition in February of 2027, he wrote:

"Reporting for duty. #feb"

Quillan Salkilld recently targeted potential fights against Max Holloway and Paddy "The Baddy" Pimblett

Quillan Salkilld recently indicated that he'd like to fight Max Holloway or Paddy Pimblett next. Given the Aussie athlete's incredible wins over established veterans of the division such as Beneil Dariush and Mateusz Gamrot, certain sections of the MMA community asserted that his wish might be granted.

On one hand, there's Max Holloway, who's a former UFC featherweight champion and an ex-BMF titleholder as well. The Hawaiian most recently headlined the high-profile UFC 329 event in July. He faced former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor in a rematch.

The welterweight showdown ended rather anticlimactically, as McGregor suffered a knee injury that led to a TKO loss. Holloway, as such, leveled their two-fight series, as he'd been beaten by the Irishman via unanimous decision in their featherweight clash back in the year 2013.

On the other hand, there's Paddy Pimblett, who co-headlined UFC 329 against divisional veteran Benoit Saint Denis. The Englishman dominantly submitted "BSD" in the very first round. "The Baddy" has since been campaigning for an eventual shot at the UFC lightweight throne.

Nevertheless, Arman Tsarukyan is said to be in the running to face UFC lightweight champion Justin Gaethje for the title, and Ilia Topuria is also working toward a comeback. Given the variables at play, some believe that Quillan Salkilld could face either Holloway or Pimblett to determine the next challenger for UFC gold at 155 pounds.
