Ilia Topuria Slams Back at Paddy Pimblett’s Trash Talk

Ilia Topuria seems to be slowly coming back to his elements. After a brutal war with Justin Gaethje sidelined him, fans are waiting for the Spaniard to make a comeback. However, there is no confirmed return date for the previously undefeated fighter till now. But as Paddy Pimblett recently issued a verbal challenge, Topuria was quick to respond. 

Ilia Topuria Hints at Possible Fight with Paddy Pimblett

Paddy Pimblett did lose his undefeated streak to Justin Gaethje, much like Topuria. But in his very next fight, the English fighter dominated Benoit Saint Denis thoroughly. Immediately after securing a confident win, ‘The Baddy’ had some not-so-pleasant words for Topuria. Replying to the same, the Spaniard recently warned him that he must be very mindful of his wishes. 

Topuria said, “You're gonna see soon. Spaniards don't get knocked out either, and we will see if he feels the same in the cage. Be careful what you wish for."

Topuria received some severe injuries, including a broken nose and fractures on both his orbital bones. Currently, while he is en route to recovery, ‘El Matador’ has not yet revealed when he would be ready to come back to the octagon. But when he does, Pimblett wants to ‘terrorize’ him. 

Paddy Pimblett Promises Total Domination of Ilia Topuria

Submitting BSD in the very first round made things interesting in the lightweight division. Pimblett is now back in the championship contention. And to make his case stronger, the English star is aiming to lock horns against Ilia Topuria next. But despite knowing his incredible striking prowess, ‘The Baddy’ sounded utterly confident. 

“If I fight Ilia or Arman, I’m gonna absolutely rinse their lives. I’m gonna absolutely terrorize them. Don’t get me wrong, I respect Ilia, but we’ve had beef for years. I think he’s a little helmet. I’d love to fight him and give him shit,” Pimblett said on the Green Light podcast. 

Sadly, despite the heat, UFC does not have any confirmed plans for such a bout yet.
