Michael Bisping Reacts to UFC 334 Main Event

Michael Bisping has taken to his YouTube channel to react to the UFC 334 main event.

As announced at UFC 331, the UFC 334 main event at Madison Square Garden, New York, will be for the heavyweight title and will be contested between Ciryl Gane and Josh Hokit.

Bisping spoke about Josh Hokit, saying that he has "taken over the sport, become a viral sensation, talks all kinds of madness, all kinds of sh*t, critiques his opponents, and the reality is he is one of the biggest names in the sport. Remember, he fought at The White House; he beat Derrick Lewis. He made some remarks, he made some comments, he's always doing that ok, that's just part of his stich."

He went on to say: "This fight is going to be crazy. The build-up to it is going to be crazy."

On the fight itself, the former middleweight champion said, "Now, on paper, this is a great match-up, this is a great fight. Now Ciryl Gane is a tremendous fighter and yes, that fight with Tom Aspinall was close and we know about the eye pokes, we're not even going to get in to that." He continued, "Coming into this one, there's going to be a lot of attention on Ciryl Gane, making sure that he sticks to the rules." He also said, "Josh Hokit is a good striker with a tremendously high output. He's a good athlete; remember he played professional football as well as being a really good wrestler."

On gameplans, Bisping said, "Josh Hokit is going to wrestle Ciryl Gane, that's just a fact ok. He has to wrestle Ciryl Gane. Ciryl Gane moves so well on the feet, that's how I knew he was going to be Alex Pereira. He is very very light on the feet, he's very athletic, very explosive and more importantly, really techniqual. Now Josh Hokit goes forwards, throws kind of recklessley because of his takedown threat, because of his speed because of his output because of his constant forward momentum, he caches a lot of people but he does leave a lot of openings."

There's a good chance that a slick striker like Gane can catch Hokit coming in. Remember, the only two names of any worth that Hokit has fought in the UFC, Curtis Blaydes and Derrick Lewis aren't known for their slick footwork, speed or counter striking. Blaydes is a wrestler who chose to stand and bang with Hokit and Lewis is a one-punch knockout artist. If Lewis can't land that one punch, he has nothing to offer.

Gane will be able to avoid Hokit's forward momentum and make him pay with counter strikes.
